The 5-Senses Reset (Calm in 90 Seconds)

When your mind feels scattered and your body is buzzing with stress, one of the fastest ways to come back to center is through your five senses. It’s simple, gentle, and you can do it anywhere.

 Wellness Tip: Try a 5-Senses Reset
Pause for a moment and notice:
1️⃣ 5 things you can see
2️⃣ 4 things you can feel (your clothes, the chair, your feet on the floor)
3️⃣ 3 things you can hear
4️⃣ 2 things you can smell
5️⃣ 1 thing you can taste (even a sip of water counts)

This practice tells your nervous system, “I’m here. I’m safe.”
In less than two minutes, your thoughts slow down, your body softens, and you’re back in the present—where your power actually is. 💜

3 — Write down three things you did well today (tiny wins count).
2 — Spend two minutes in slow breathing: inhale 4, exhale 6, repeat.
1 — Go one hour tech-free before bed (dim lights, warm tea, stretch or read).

Why it works: celebrating wins calms the inner critic, longer exhales cue your vagus nerve for rest, and a screen break lets melatonin do its job.
Short on time? Do one round of 4–6 breathing and jot a single win. Your nervous system will notice. 💜

Try this mini-reset whenever stress hits:
1️⃣ Sit tall, unclench your jaw, drop your shoulders.
2️⃣ Inhale slowly through your nose for 4 counts.
3️⃣ Exhale with a gentle hum or through pursed lips for 8 counts—the longer exhale tells your body “I’m safe.”
4️⃣ Place a hand on your heart, feel the softening, and repeat five times.
