โก Rocky Mountain Power to Remove 41 Towers
Rocky Mountain Power plans to dismantle 41 transmission towers from Bountiful to Ogden following the death of 16-year-old Garrett Sears, who was electrocuted after climbing a tower in Fruit Heights. His family pushed for changes, citing the towersโ accessible design and several past fatal incidents.
The changes will remove potentially dangerous climbing access from towers in and around Bountiful, improving public safety for local families.

โ๏ธ Farmington Court Weighs AI Voice in Murder Case
A Farmington judge is considering whether prosecutors can use an AI-generated clone of murder victim Joyce Yostโs voice during Douglas Lovellโs upcoming sentencing. University of Utah tech experts testified that jurors could mistake the synthetic voice for an authentic representation, even though the AI cannot recreate Yostโs original tone or delivery from her testimony. The Davis County courtroom could help set an important precedent for how AI-generated voices are used as evidence in future criminal cases. (KSL.com)

๐ Utah Gives Home Food Businesses More Room to Grow
Utah has updated its Home Consumption and Homemade Food Act, giving home-based food producers more flexibility in how they get products to customers. Under changes that took effect May 6, qualifying producers can use a designated representative to sell or deliver homemade foods directly to consumers, and qualifying home-cooked food sales are exempt from state sales tax.
The law can cover many foods made in a home kitchen, but it comes with important limits. Sales must remain within Utah and go directly to the final consumer for personal or home use; products generally cannot be resold through restaurants or retail stores. Homemade foods also must carry disclosures explaining that they were prepared without state or local inspection and identify common allergens. Meat and raw dairy products remain largely excluded, with limited exceptions. ๐ Read More

๐พ Make Mealtime a Brain Game ๐พ
Does your pup inhale dinner in 30 seconds? Try turning mealtime into enrichment time!
Instead of always serving food in a regular bowl, use a puzzle feeder, Toppl, snuffle mat, or stuffed enrichment toy. Working for their food encourages natural problem-solving behaviors, provides mental stimulation, and can help fast eaters slow down.
For an extra challenge, freeze your pup's favorite food or treats inside an enrichment toy for a longer-lasting activity.
๐ถ A little brain work can go a long way toward a happier, more satisfied pup!
