๐๏ธ Historic Benard Mansion Staying Put
Bountifulโs Planning Commission is considering a proposal for eight new townhomes at 92 W. Center Street, while preserving the historic Benard Mansion already on the property. The plan would create 10 total residential units, including the mansionโs two existing residences.
The proposal could add new housing downtown without losing a longtime Bountiful landmark. ๐ Read More

โ๏ธ North Salt Lake Neighbors Rally to Help Save Janetโs Sunshine Cafe
Thereโs still time to help a longtime North Salt Lake favorite.
Customers of Janetโs Sunshine Cafe are continuing to rally around owner Janet Barmore, who is facing the possibility of losing the cafe she has operated since 2005. After an expansion didnโt work out as hoped โ combined with rising food costs and a slowing economy โ Barmore fell behind financially and was served with an eviction notice.
For many regulars, Sunshine Cafe is more than a breakfast or lunch spot. Itโs a familiar gathering place where customers know each other, memories have been made, and Janet has spent years making people feel at home.
Loyal customers created a GoFundMe to help keep the doors open, and the fundraiser is still active. If youโve ever enjoyed a meal there โ or simply want to help preserve a longtime local business โ donations and shares are still appreciated.
๐ Every little bit helps.

๐โฝ Local Sports: Redhawks Roll, Phoenix Split
Bountiful girls soccer earned a convincing 3-0 Region 6 win over Woods Cross, with goals from Myka Page, Bella Morgan, and Jane Hellewell. Farmington girls soccer also picked up a road win, beating Weber 3-1, while Phoenix volleyball fell to Weber 3 sets to 1.
South Davis teams are building momentum as fall high school sports head deeper into the season.

September 11 โ A Day to Remember, and a Day to Serve
Today marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001.
It is observed across the country as Patriot Day and the National Day of Service and Remembrance โ a day to remember those whose lives were lost, honor the first responders and others who stepped forward, and carry that spirit forward through service.
Here at home, there are several ways to do exactly that during Bountifulโs Day of Service tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 12.
