Premium Wagyu Beef—Raised Here, Delivered to Your Door
If you love supporting local families and savoring incredible flavor, meet Northern Sun Cattle Co. — a family-owned Wagyu beef ranch headquartered right here along the Wasatch Front. This Centerville-based ranching family has been raising cattle since 1995, long before “farm-to-table” became a trend, and they’re now proudly sharing their exceptional, ranch-raised Wagyu with households across Utah and Southern Idaho.
🐄 A Family Legacy Rooted in Self-Reliance
Northern Sun Cattle Co. began with a simple goal: to provide one family with a more self-sufficient, trustworthy food source. In 1995, founder Kym Foster purchased a single cow with that purpose in mind.
Nearly 30 years later, that small beginning has grown into a thriving herd — and a passion project — now led by the Foster family and Head of Sales & Operations, Mikayla Foster Etter.
Over the years, they’ve supplied farm-fresh beef to friends and neighbors, but in 2024 they officially opened their premium Wagyu offerings to the public. Their mission? Help families enjoy delicious, high-quality beef with complete confidence in where it comes from.
🥩 What Makes Their Wagyu Special
Wagyu is known for its incredible tenderness, buttery texture, and rich flavor — and Northern Sun’s beef lives up to the reputation. What sets them apart?
✨ A few things customers love:
Flavorful, tender Wagyu beef raised with care by local ranchers
Simple online ordering through their easy-to-use website
Hand-delivered orders straight to your door at a scheduled time
Friendly, personal service from a family who truly loves what they do
They make it easy to stock your freezer with premium cuts, without ever setting foot in a store.

🤝 Proud to Be Part of the Community
This past summer, Northern Sun Cattle Co. joined the Bountiful Farmers Market for the first time — and absolutely loved it. Meeting local families, sharing samples, and connecting with the community reminded them exactly why they do what they do.
📣 Stay Updated (and Save!)

Celebrate the Season with a Musical Journey Through Christmas History
As the holiday season kicks into high gear, locals have a festive opportunity to explore the origins of their favorite Christmas tunes. "A History of Christmas Music with Andy Mason" is a lively musical event set to take place this December, offering a blend of history, melody, and community spirit.
This engaging program promises a joyful dive into the evolution of holiday music—from centuries-old carols to modern seasonal hits. Attendees can expect a cheerful evening of singing, storytelling, and seasonal cheer as musician and presenter Andy Mason guides audiences through the rich tapestry of Christmas music traditions.
The event will be held Tuesday at the Bountiful Branch Library, starting at 6:30 p.m. It’s a perfect way for families and music lovers of all ages to ring in December with a bit of fa-la-la-la-la and festive fun.

New Powersports Repair Shop Opens in Kaysville, Serving Davis County
A new family-owned powersport repair and accessory shop has officially opened in Kaysville, offering expert service for outdoor and motorsport vehicles throughout Davis County, including North Salt Lake, Bountiful, Centerville, and Farmington.
With over eight years of industry experience, the shop specializes in repairs and upgrades for snowmobiles, street bikes, dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs, and personal watercraft. Whether it’s a routine tune-up or a custom accessory install, the shop provides personalized, professional service for every type of rider.
Located at 483 Market St., Kaysville, UT 84037, the shop welcomes the community to stop by or call 801-513-5800 to schedule service and show support for local small business.

Utah Shines Bright as Nation’s Second-Most Festive State
Utah continues to shine during the holiday season, recently earning the title of the second-most festive state in the nation. The ranking, compiled by Innerbody, analyzed Google search data to determine which states show the most enthusiasm for Christmas during November and December.
For the second consecutive year, Utah claimed the number two spot, just behind West Virginia, which topped the list for the fourth year running. The rankings took into account the frequency of holiday-related searches, including popular terms like "Gingerbread House," "The Grinch," "Christmas Movies," and "Christmas Lights" — all of which saw strong interest in Utah.
This widespread holiday spirit is no surprise in a state where residents are known to deck the halls as soon as Halloween ends. From festive light displays to cherished local traditions like Ogden’s Christmas Village, Utahns continue to embrace the season with enthusiasm and early celebration.

Avery Poulton Leads Woods Cross to Historic Volleyball Title, Earns Ms. Volleyball Honor
Avery Poulton led Woods Cross High School to its first volleyball state championship in 46 years, delivering a standout performance in a tense five-set final against Skyline. Known for her calm under pressure, Poulton recorded 24 kills and 16 digs in the match and was named the 2025 Deseret News Ms. Volleyball. With a .429 hitting percentage and 411 kills on the season, she stood out as one of Utah's most complete players. Beyond her stats, her work ethic and leadership helped redefine the program. Poulton will continue her career at the University of Kansas.
