βΈοΈ Bountiful City to Celebrate Ice Ribbon Opening on November 30, 1:00pm - 9:00pm 165 S Main Street

Bountifulβs Enchanting Holiday Lights Support Local Family in Need
The highly anticipated holiday light display in Bountiful will run nightly from November 29th through the Christmas season, featuring new attractions, a walkthrough option, and a scavenger hunt. Santa will visit on December 14th, offering treats and free photo opportunities. Donations collected during the event will support Tyler Hobert, a local resident battling leukemia, and his family. Visitors can enjoy the display at 1537 N 175 W, Bountiful, UT, with music accessible on 99.3 FM.

Butchers Compete on Ice at South Davis Recreation Center
The South Davis Recreation Center hosted the annual Meat Cutting on Ice Competition, where Texas Roadhouse butchers demonstrated their meat-cutting skills on an ice rink. The event, held for 14 years, reflects the restaurant's practice of in-house meat cutting in cool environments. Winners advance to regional and national contests, with opportunities to win significant prizes.

Bountiful Food Pantry's Mobile Service Moves Dates for Thanksgiving and Christmas
The Bountiful Food Pantry and the North Salt Lake Youth City Council's Mobile Food Pantry are adjusting their schedules for the holiday season. In November and December, the pantry will be available on the third Tuesday of the month rather than the usual fourth Tuesday. Residents can visit the pantry at Moda Shoreline Apartments from 5:00 to 6:00 PM during these months.
This service provides vital assistance to those in need, made possible by the generous contributions of community members. Donations to local food pantries are always appreciated, especially during the holiday season when demand often increases.

Winter Fun Without Skis: Alternative Activities in Utah's Snowy Landscape
Utah's winter landscape offers a plethora of activities beyond skiing and snowboarding, catering to diverse interests and adventure levels.
Snowshoeing and Cross-Country Skiing
For those seeking a tranquil experience, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing provide an excellent way to explore Utah's snowy terrains. Areas like Soldier Hollow, located in Wasatch Mountain State Park, offer groomed trails suitable for all skill levels.
Ice Skating
Ice skating enthusiasts can visit venues such as The Ice Sheet at Ogden, which offers public skating sessions and is a legacy venue from the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Snowmobiling
For a more adrenaline-pumping activity, snowmobiling is a popular choice. Various operators provide guided tours through Utah's backcountry, offering a thrilling way to experience the state's winter beauty.
Tubing and Sledding
Family-friendly tubing and sledding hills are abundant. Resorts like Solitude Mountain Resort offer designated areas for these activities, ensuring fun for all ages.
Hot Springs
After a day in the cold, soaking in natural hot springs provides relaxation and warmth. Locations such as the Homestead Crater in Midway offer unique geothermal experiences.
Cultural Experiences
Utah's winter season also features cultural events and festivals. Exploring local museums, attending performances, or visiting art galleries can provide enriching experiences away from the cold.
Whether you're an adventure seeker or prefer leisurely activities, Utah's winter offerings extend well beyond the ski slopes, ensuring memorable experiences for all.

π Bountiful High Prepares for Challenging Season Opener
The Bountiful High School girls' basketball team, led by head coach Joel Burton, is preparing for the upcoming season with a renewed focus on defense and consistency. Returning key players include Taylor Harvey, Milika Satuala, Mae Johnson, and Adelaide Stevenson. The Redhawks will face a challenging schedule, starting with games against 6A finalists Copper Hills and Lone Peak, as they aim for a third consecutive 5A state championship.

Understanding Medicare Supplement Plans
During Medicareβs Annual Enrollment Period, much of the focus tends to be on Medicare Advantage Plans. This is because Advantage Plans often change from year to year. While these plans can be a big money-saver for many people, they may not suit everyoneβs needs or lifestyle.
Another great option to consider is Medicare Supplement Plans, also known as Medigap. These plans offer flexibility and predictability, ideal for those who value the highest level of coverage.
Benefits of Medicare Supplement Plans:
1. Medicare remains your primary insurance.
2. Freedom to see any doctor that accepts Medicare patients.
3. No referrals are needed.
4. Covers Medicare deductibles and coinsurance.
5. Predictable out-of-pocket costs.
6. Nationwide coverage (many plans also include foreign emergency coverage).
If youβd like to explore Medicare Supplement Plans or have questions, Iβm here to help.
