Local Resident Hosts Blanket Fabric Drive for Bountiful’s Homeless Community

Bountiful resident Kaitlin Sowards is hosting a fabric drive to collect 100 yards of fabric to make blankets for the local unsheltered population. With 23 yards donated so far, she's offering a raffle as an incentive—each yard donated earns a ticket, and winners will receive a custom blanket. The raffle drawing will occur on Thanksgiving Day. Sowards is also seeking volunteers to assist in sewing the blankets before winter. See Facebook Post

Woods Cross Officers Honored for Heroic Life-Saving Actions

Woods Cross Police Officers Linton and Green were named Employees of the Month for September. Officer Linton performed life-saving CPR on an off-duty incident and also played a crucial role in assisting at a severe traffic accident. Officer Green joined Linton in managing the chaotic accident scene, helping to administer first aid and control traffic during the rush-hour emergency.

🏈 Bountiful Soars with 42-14 Victory Over Undefeated Northridge

Bountiful High School made a strong statement in Region 5 with a 42-14 win over previously undefeated Northridge. The Redhawks dominated the first half, leading 35-0, aided by a standout performance from Connor Clark, who scored on both a recovered punt and a 40-yard reception. Despite Northridge outscoring Bountiful in the second half, the Redhawks’ early lead proved insurmountable. Bountiful is now tied for second in Region 5 standings, with key matchups ahead.

🏈 Farmington’s Early Lead Fades in Overtime Loss to Syracuse

Farmington High fought hard but ultimately fell to Syracuse 27-24 in an intense overtime game. Farmington took an early lead, but Syracuse managed to tie it up in the final seconds of regulation with a field goal. In overtime, Syracuse scored a touchdown and Farmington responded with a field goal, falling just short of victory. The loss drops Farmington to 4-2 this season, but the team remains competitive with upcoming games that are crucial for postseason positioning.
