🦟 Invasive Mosquito Found in Davis County for First Time

An invasive mosquito species has been identified in Davis County for the first time, according to the Davis County Health Department.

Aedes aegypti, sometimes called the yellow fever mosquito, was discovered during routine mosquito surveillance. It’s a small, dark mosquito known for biting during the day, often around the ankles.

Residents can help mosquito-control efforts by emptying standing water around their homes. To report unusual mosquito activity or request assistance, contact the Mosquito Abatement District-Davis at 801-544-3736. 👉 Read More

Meet Ella, a mellow, lovable girl with an important neighborhood assignment: squirrel watch!

🐿️ From her favorite chair or a lookout spot outside, she patiently waits for those bushy-tailed visitors.

She also loves car rides, taking in all the exciting smells and enjoying the breeze. But her sweetest claim to fame? Her very own pawprint in the neighbors’ driveway! When they poured new concrete, they invited Ella over to leave her mark. Now that’s a neighborhood favorite! 💕

Ella, you’ve clearly left pawprints on more than just the driveway—you’ve left them on everyone’s hearts! 🐾
