Fall officially arrives today — and apparently we’re ready for it. Simple Treasures opens its big Fall Fling in Farmington,
We’ve got a little bit of everything in today’s Buzz — a look at a possible greenway connecting four South Davis cities, a quick heads-up from Pace’s Dairy Ann, and an impressive community effort that brought in more than 42,000 pounds for the Bountiful Food Pantry.
Plus, Bountiful and Woods Cross meet on the volleyball court tonight, and we’ve got a very cute Pup of the Week waiting for you. 🐾

🚲 South Davis Greenway Could Connect Four Local Cities
Plans for a possible continuous walking and biking route through South Davis County are moving further through the feasibility process.
The proposed South Davis Greenway would stretch about 10.8 miles from North Salt Lake to Farmington, passing through Bountiful and Centerville. The concept calls for a separated shared-use pathway designed for walking, biking and rolling.
Farmington City accepted the feasibility study’s final report earlier this month, while Bountiful City recently received an update on the project. North Salt Lake has also reviewed the study and a potential route through the city.
There’s still a long way to go. The project remains conceptual, and no final alignment, construction funding or construction schedule has been established.
Still, it’s an interesting one to watch — especially since the goal is eventually to create a safer continuous route through several of the communities we call home.
🥫 Bountiful Food Pantry Collects 42,000+ Pounds
The Bountiful Food Pantry says its recent food drive brought in more than 42,000 pounds of donated food, thanks to local donors and volunteers. The pantry is putting that support to work Tuesday, Sept. 22, with a mobile pantry from 4:30–6:30 PM at 882 Foxboro Dr. in North Salt Lake. Cereal is the pantry’s most-needed donation item this week.
The donations help keep food available for South Davis families, including through convenient neighborhood mobile pantry stops. 👉 Details
🍦 Heads Up: Pace’s Dairy Ann Phones Are Down — But They’re Open
Pace’s Dairy Ann says its phone service will be down for about two weeks, but the longtime Bountiful favorite is still open and serving customers. Thanks to help from nearby DC Customs, Pace’s says it can still process credit cards while waiting for phone service to be restored.
If you’ve tried calling and couldn’t get through, don’t count them out — this is a good week to stop by, grab a treat, and support a local favorite.
🏐 Bountiful Heads to Woods Cross for Big Region Matchup
There’s a good local volleyball matchup tonight as Bountiful heads to Woods Cross for a Region 6 showdown.
Woods Cross comes into the match near the top of the region standings, making this more than just a neighborhood rivalry — it could matter as the region race takes shape. MaxPreps has Woods Cross and Bountiful listed among Utah’s featured regional matches tonight.

🌟🐾 Meet Puka, our adorable little princess! 👑🐶 And yes… she knows it.
As a puppy, Puka would simply sit down in the middle of walks when she’d had enough, basically announcing, “I would like to be carried now.” 😂 She even preferred being hand-fed!
These days, Puka is still happiest wherever her favorite human is — whether she’s exploring the mountains, tagging along on errands, or sneaking onto the bed and giving a dramatic little huff when things don’t go her way.
She’s also apparently fearless around wildlife. On one hike, Puka chased a deer… and ended up getting trampled by the very deer she was chasing! 🦌 Thankfully, she was okay — and apparently learned absolutely nothing, because she’s still ready to chase one whenever she gets the chance. 😂
Sweet, sassy, adventurous and just a little spoiled, Puka is definitely living her best princess life. 👑💗

Today is officially the first day of fall!
And South Davis apparently got the memo — Simple Treasures opens its Fall Fling today, pumpkins are starting to appear, and cooler-weather events are filling up the calendar.
So here’s the important question:
Are you Team “bring on fall” 🍁 or Team “I wasn’t finished with summer” ☀️?
The autumnal equinox falls on September 22 in 2026.
