❤️ Bountiful Honors Former QB Steve Matheson

Bountiful High honored former quarterback Steve Matheson before Friday night’s football game, with his family joining the tribute on the field. Matheson, who led Bountiful’s 2002 state championship team, died Aug. 29 after being struck by lightning while helping stranded boaters in Florida. The school also presented him with its Distinguished Alumni “Forever Brave” Award. KSL News

The tribute gave the Bountiful community a chance to remember a hometown athlete whose legacy extended well beyond football through service to others.👉 Read More

🏠 Woods Cross Council Could Vote on New ADU Rules Tonight

Woods Cross City Council will hold a special session Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 7 PM to consider Ordinance 645, which would establish updated rules for internal and detached accessory dwelling units. The agenda also includes proposed pedestrian-crossing signs and a marked crosswalk near Odyssey Elementary.

The ADU changes could affect how Woods Cross homeowners add or rent secondary living spaces, while the crossing proposal could bring a safety improvement near Odyssey Elementary.

🏕️ Free Scout Night at Hogan Park

Families can stop by Hogan Park in Woods Cross tonight for a free Scout Night from 6–8 PM. Kids can try activities including stomp rockets and archery, with popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs and more.

It’s a free, low-key way for local families to learn about Scouting while giving the kids a fun night at the park.

Don’t expect kisses from this handsome guy—Beau does NOT give kisses. 😂 Instead, his ultimate sign of love is burying his head right between your legs. We’ll take that as a very enthusiastic “I love you!” 🥰

Beau loves outdoor adventures, especially walks, hikes, and soaking up the sunshine. ☀️🥾 But at home, he has another important job: if the family is playing a board game on the floor, Beau makes sure to sit right on the game board. 🎲😂 Apparently every game needs a Beau-sized piece!

And when it comes to football, Beau has skills. 🏈 Just yell “TOUCHDOWN!” and he’ll catch a football right out of the air. Future NFL star? We wouldn’t rule it out. 😉

💜 A Good Neighbor Story From Melissa

Yesterday, for Good Neighbor day, I asked, “What’s the nicest thing a neighbor has ever done for you?” and I loved hearing from reader Melissa M.

When Melissa and her family moved into their new home just after Christmas, one of their neighbors, Michelle, invited her to join the neighborhood GroupMe.

It may have seemed like a small gesture, but Melissa says it opened the door to something pretty special. Through the group, neighbors have become friends — meeting at the park each week, sharing things they no longer need, helping one another out, and genuinely looking out for each other.

Melissa says the neighborhood has been “such a gift for our family.” 💜
