🪧 Bountiful Cracks Down on Political Sign Rules

Bountiful City is reminding campaigns that political signs are not allowed on public property, including city-owned land, park strips, and public rights-of-way. Signs placed there can be removed right away by city staff. Removed signs can be picked up near the evidence garage east of the Public Safety building at 805 South Main Street. 👉 See Post

Why It Matters: Candidates and residents can avoid fines, clutter, and safety issues by making sure campaign signs stay on private property with permission.

👩‍🏫 Davis District Honors Inspiring Women

Davis School District is spotlighting standout educators for Women’s History Month, including Deena Mulhall (Windridge Elementary), Elizabeth VanPatten (Davis Catalyst Center), Morgan Duckworth (speech-language pathologist), and Melissa Skousen (translation and interpretation services). Each shared messages of resilience, courage, and confidence—from embracing challenges to using your voice. The district will continue featuring more inspiring women throughout the month.

Why It Matters: These local educators are shaping classrooms across Davis County while modeling confidence and leadership for the next generation.

Orihuela Leads Wildcats Boys Soccer Win

Gabriel Orihuela scored both goals to lead Woods Cross boys soccer to a 2-0 win over Roy in nonregion play. He struck twice in the first half, with an assist from Henry Wood on the opener. Goalkeeper Matt McKay anchored the defense with a shutout.

Why It Matters: Strong early performances like this help Woods Cross boys soccer build confidence and momentum heading into region play.

🛁 April Showers Bring… Muddy Paws 🌧️🐾

April in Bountiful means green foothills, longer walks, and plenty of muddy paws. After just one outing, moisture, dirt, and debris can settle deep into your dog’s coat, leaving them damp, heavy, and less comfortable. A refreshing bath paired with a blow-dry and brushout helps lift that buildup away, leaving coats soft, clean, and ready for the next adventure.

To celebrate spring, mention the Bountiful Buzz on your first visit and enjoy a FREE blow-dry & brushout with your service. This is a limited-time offer for new clients, and spots fill quickly during muddy season.

Call Scenthound Bountiful at 801-623-6561 to book your visit.

🐾 Because when our dogs feel good—we feel good, too. 💛

🐾 Eggs, Noses, and a Little Bit of Spring Magic

Spring brings a sense of renewal—and for our dogs, it’s the perfect time to lean into simple, enriching activities that support both their health and happiness.

🥚 Are Eggs Good for Dogs?

Short answer: yes—with a little intention behind the choice.

Eggs are one of the most nutrient-dense whole foods you can offer your dog, providing:
• High-quality protein
• Healthy fats
• Essential amino acids
• Vitamins like A, B12, and riboflavin

But like anything we feed, quality matters. Instead of a random add-on, eggs can be a purposeful, whole-food boost—which is why we love quail eggs.

They’re naturally small, nutrient-rich, easy to serve, and perfect for adding to meals or enrichment without overdoing portions. Plus, for many dogs… they’re just more fun.

👃 The Joy of Nose Work

If you’ve ever watched your dog stop mid-walk, completely absorbed in a scent—you’ve seen nose work in action.

Dogs experience the world through their noses, and giving them opportunities to use that superpower is both fun and fulfilling.

Benefits include:
• Mental stimulation (often more tiring than physical exercise)
• Increased confidence, especially for shy dogs
• A natural outlet for instincts
• A stronger bond with you

And the best part? It doesn’t have to be complicated.

🐾 Bring It Together: Spring Dog Egg Hunt

Join us for our Spring Dog Egg Hunt on April 4th at 12 PM at Preppy Paws.

• Simple nose work activities
• A low-pressure, fun environment
• A chance to connect with other local dog owners

Whether your dog is a seasoned sniffer or just getting started, it’s a great way to explore, learn, and enjoy a little springtime fun.
