Bountiful Elementary Being Rebuilt After 75 Years of Service
Bountiful Elementary, originally opened in 1950, is celebrating 75 years with a brand-new school building set to open in fall 2025. Construction has been ongoing behind the current building, where students have continued classes this year. The old school will be demolished after the school year ends. An open house will be held May 16 from 4–7 p.m. to honor the school’s history and community legacy.
For more information contact the school at 801-402-1350.

Bountiful Police Receive Autism Sensory Bags to Support Inclusive Response
The Bountiful City Police Department partnered with the Autism Council of Utah, receiving Autism Sensory Bags designed to help officers provide calm, supportive responses to individuals with autism. This effort promotes inclusion, understanding, and better community service.

Davis and Bountiful Sweep Rivals in Unbeaten Baseball Week
It was a week of dominance for both the Davis and Bountiful high school baseball teams, as each squad went undefeated in their matchups, showcasing strong pitching, solid defense, and timely hitting.
Davis High swept its three-game series against Weber. The Darts opened with a hard-fought 4-2 win, powered by consistent offense and disciplined defense. Game two saw the team come out swinging, putting up eight runs while shutting down Weber’s bats to secure an 8-2 victory. They capped off the series with a convincing 11-5 win, completing the sweep and improving their region record.
Bountiful High mirrored that success with an impressive 3-0 stretch of their own against Viewmont. The Redhawks got off to a roaring start in game one, notching a 10-1 win as both offense and pitching clicked. Their momentum carried through the series, with an 11-2 victory in the second game and a dominant 13-3 performance in the finale.
These standout performances not only boosted the teams' confidence but also strengthened their positions in the region standings as the season heats up.

Body Discovered Near I-15 Identified
A body found off I-15 in North Salt Lake on Wednesday has been identified as 73-year-old Keith Jerome Franklin. The discovery was made by a driver returning to retrieve a broken-down vehicle. Authorities found no immediate signs of foul play, though an investigation into the cause and circumstances of death is ongoing. A lane closure on northbound I-15 remains in effect during the investigation.

April is Autism Awareness Month

💙 Local Family Gives Back to Life-Changing Autism Program 💙
In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Bridger’s family is celebrating the incredible impact of the Northern Utah Autism Program (NUAP)—a nonprofit early intervention program that has helped their son thrive. NUAP serves local children ages 3–5 with autism and is funded entirely by parents and community support.
To give back, the family is hosting a Golf Tournament Fundraiser this fall at Ogden Golf & Country Club to benefit NUAP. They’re looking for sponsors, raffle donations, and helping hands.
Want to get involved? Contact Brittney White or Bridger’s family and be part of something truly special. 💙
