Bountiful’s Main Street to Host Whimsical Ballet-Themed Event on June 10

A sprinkle of magic and a whole lot of twirling are on the agenda in Bountiful this June as Over the Moon Bountiful invites families to its charming Maileg Ballet Studio Event. The festive afternoon promises to bring the beloved Maileg universe to life with themed activities, dancing, and delightful surprises tailored for young ballet enthusiasts.

Scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m., the event encourages children to arrive in costume or dancewear, adding to the whimsy and increasing their chances of winning a special prize. Attendees can also enjoy a complimentary gift with purchase, available while supplies last.

With themed decor, engaging activities, and the enchanting atmosphere Over the Moon is known for, this event is poised to be a joyful celebration of childhood imagination and creativity. Families are encouraged to follow @overthemoonbountiful for full event details and updates.

Local Favorite Returns with English Peas, Radishes, and Beets

Chas W. Bangerter & Son has officially kicked off their growing season with a fresh selection of early crops now available to the public. Locals can enjoy the arrival of English peas, radishes, and beets—just in time for summer recipes and market strolls.

Customers can visit the Bountiful produce stand from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or find them at the Ogden Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shoppers are encouraged to stop by early for the best picks and support this beloved local farming tradition. Community members are also invited to spread the word and help keep the farm-to-table spirit strong.

Man Rescued After Cold Plunge Goes Wrong in Big Cottonwood Creek

A man was rescued from Big Cottonwood Creek on Sunday evening after being swept away during a cold plunge. He was carried about 50 feet downstream before climbing onto a rock, where he awaited rescue. Unified Fire Authority crews used a ladder truck and rope system to retrieve him. Officials warned against entering swift spring waters and stressed that cold, fast currents can overpower even strong swimmers. The man was uninjured but likely experienced mild hypothermia.

No child should go hungry during the summer! From June 2 to July 23, the Davis School District is offering free weekday lunches (Monday–Thursday) for all children ages 1–18 at 15 locations through the Seamless Summer Lunch Program.
