Bountiful Memorial Day Program Returns Monday

Bountifulโ€™s annual Memorial Day Program will take place Monday, May 25 at Veterans Park next to City Hall, with prelude music starting at 10:30 AM and the main ceremony running from 11 AMโ€“12:15 PM. The event includes patriotic music, a wreath-laying ceremony, devotional messages, flag ceremonies, and a military flyover honoring veterans and those who gave their lives in service.

The Memorial Day program is one of Bountifulโ€™s longtime community traditions, giving local families a meaningful way to honor veterans and reflect on the sacrifices made by service members connected to South Davis County.

๐Ÿšฝ Park Bathroom Vandalism Costs Climb in Bountiful

Bountiful officials are asking for community help after repeated vandalism in park restrooms caused thousands of dollars in damage this year. City crews have dealt with destroyed toilets, ripped-out faucets, graffiti, and even fires inside bathrooms near schools and trailheads. One restroom near Hidden Lake Circle has stayed closed for three years because of ongoing damage.

Repairs and cleanup are costing taxpayers nearly $10,000, while repeated closures limit access to parks and trailheads for local families and visitors.

If residents have information that could help identify those responsible, Bountiful City Parks officials are encouraging the community to contact the Parks Department or report suspicious activity when they see it.

๐Ÿš— Utahโ€™s โ€œ100 Deadliest Daysโ€ Begin as Officials Urge Safer Driving

Utah public safety officials are warning drivers to slow down and stay focused as the state enters the โ€œ100 Deadliest Daysโ€ โ€” the busy summer stretch between Memorial Day and Labor Day when fatal crashes typically spike. During a statewide briefing Wednesday, DPS leaders and families impacted by deadly crashes reminded Utahns that split-second decisions behind the wheel can have lifelong consequences.

With more families traveling, teen drivers on the road, and summer traffic increasing across Davis County and I-15, officials say safe driving choices can save lives close to home. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Read More

โšฝ Bountiful Boys Go for the Title!

The Boys Soccer State Championship kicks off TODAY from 10โ€“11 AM at Zions Bank Stadium, and the Bountiful High School Braves boys soccer team need the community behind them. Letโ€™s pack the stands, wear red and white, and cheer the boys on as they compete for a state title. Good luck, RedHawks!

๐Ÿฅ Farmington Falls in State Semifinal Battle

The Farmington High School boys lacrosse team came up short against the Skyridge High School Falcons boys lacrosse team on May 20, falling 14-10 at Westminster College. Farmington stayed competitive throughout the match, led by Cole Smithโ€™s 5-goal performance and strong all-around play from Wyatt Salmon, who added 4 points and 5 ground balls.

Even in a tough loss, Farmingtonโ€™s playoff run showcased one of the areaโ€™s strongest lacrosse programs and gave the community plenty to cheer for this season.
