Backyard Shed Fire in Bountiful Leaves Total Loss, No Injuries

Over the weekend, emergency crews from the South Davis Metro Fire Service Area were dispatched to a fire at an outdoor storage structure in the 2800 block of Bountiful. Residents were startled awake to discover their backyard shed engulfed in flames. By the time firefighters arrived, the structure was already fully consumed, resulting in a total loss of both the shed and its contents. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation

Lost Hang Glider Rescued from Rugged Holbrook Canyon After Wind-Blown Detour

A hang glider who went missing after being carried off course by strong winds was safely rescued from Holbrook Canyon on May 8. The man launched from Centerville intending to land in Draper but was blown into the mountains. Cell phone data helped search crews locate him, and he was found uninjured and able to walk out with help from Davis County Search and Rescue.

🥍 High School Lacrosse Enters Final Week with Seeding at Stake

Local High School lacrosse teams are wrapping up regular-season play and jockeying for playoff seeding. Farmington and Davis boys and girls teams are already playoff-bound, while Woods Cross and Bountiful are on the cusp. Final seedings will be revealed after May 15th.

A Taylorsville family and local police are searching for a burglary suspect caught on camera stealing tools from a backyard and attempting to break into a home. Authorities believe the man may be a repeat offender and are asking the public for help identifying him. 👉 Read full article
