Centerville to Launch Spring Pavilion Bookings Mid-April

Centerville City is gearing up for warmer weather and increased park activity, with pavilion reservations officially beginning on April 15. While the public spaces remain accessible for general use, the city’s reservation system has been on pause until park amenities, particularly the bathrooms, are fully operational.

Until April 15, residents can enjoy pavilion use on a first-come, first-served basis. However, no formal reservations will be accepted until the scheduled reopening date. This delay ensures that all essential facilities are ready to support community gatherings and events.

Starting April 15, residents and visitors looking to secure a spot for upcoming celebrations, picnics, or reunions can make reservations online through the city’s recreation portal at secure.rec1.com/UT/centerville-ut/catalog.

The city encourages early reservations, especially during the busy spring and summer months when demand for shaded, equipped park spaces typically increases.

Baby Food Recall: FDA Flags Lead in Pouches Sold at Target

Target has recalled Parent's Choice Banana Strawberry Baby Food Blend pouches due to possible lead contamination. The product, made by WanaBana USA, was sold nationwide in stores and online. While no illnesses have been reported, the FDA urges customers to stop using the product immediately. This follows a similar recall by the same manufacturer last year. Investigations are ongoing.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Bridger’s family is celebrating the incredible impact of the Northern Utah Autism Program (NUAP)—a nonprofit early intervention program that has helped their son thrive. NUAP serves local children ages 3–5 with autism and is funded entirely by parents and community support.

To give back, the family is hosting a Golf Tournament Fundraiser this fall at Ogden Golf & Country Club to benefit NUAP. They’re looking for sponsors, raffle donations, and helping hands.
