๐ Free Food Giveaway at Meadowbrook TODAY!
Meadowbrook Elementary will host a free food distribution on TODAY, July 16, from 8โ9 AM. The event is open to everyone, no identification is required, and adults 18 or older may pick up food for their own household. The giveaway is held in partnership with the Utah Food Bank.
This is a simple, no-cost resource for South Davis families who could use a little extra help with groceries. ๐ See Post
๐ป Learn Ham Radio Skills at Free Davis County Class HAPPENING TONIGHT ๐
The Davis County Sheriff's Office is inviting residents to a free Introduction to Ham Radio class TONIGHT, July 16, from 7โ8 p.m. at the Davis County Emergency Operations Center. Attendees will learn how ham radio works, why it's a reliable backup when cell service fails, how it supports emergency communications, and the steps to earn an amateur radio license. A live stream will also be available for those who can't attend in person.
Having another way to communicate during emergencies can make a real difference, and this free class gives South Davis residents practical preparedness skills they can use when traditional communication systems are down.

Should Utah Keep Daylight Saving Time Year-Round? โฐ
Utah lawmakers are once again discussing whether the state should adopt permanent Daylight Saving Time if federal law ever allows it. As usual, the idea has sparked plenty of debate.
Some neighbors say they'd love having more daylight after work during the winter, while others worry about kids waiting for school buses in the dark if the sun doesn't rise until nearly 9:00 a.m.
A few readers said they don't care which time we keep... they just want to stop changing the clocks twice a year. Others argued that permanent Standard Time is healthier, while many prefer the extra evening daylight that Daylight Saving Time provides.

Don't Wait Until You're Hurting
Many people think massage is only for when they're in painโbut regular massage can actually help prevent aches and stiffness before they become bigger problems.
When muscles stay tight, they can affect your posture, limit movement, and contribute to headaches, neck tension, and back discomfort. Routine massage helps keep your body moving comfortably so you can enjoy everyday life.
Your body may be ready for a massage if:
โ๏ธ Your shoulders always feel tight.
โ๏ธ You wake up stiff more often than refreshed.
โ๏ธ You have frequent neck tension or headaches.
โ๏ธ You're sore after yard work, workouts, or weekend adventures.
A little maintenance now can help you feel better later!
