Simple Treasures Boutique Expands with New Locations and Dates for 2025
Simple Treasures Boutique is bringing exciting updates for 2025! The popular shopping event is adding more shows and introducing a brand-new location in Herriman at the Zions Bank Real Academy, located at 14787 Academy Parkway. This expansion aims to better serve shoppers in the southern end of the valley while continuing to cater to loyal attendees from the north at the long-standing Farmington venue.
The Farmington shows will continue at the Western Sports Park (Legacy Events Center), located at 1049 W Clark Lane. Both venues promise bigger and better events with a fantastic selection of treasures to discover.

Hill Air Force Base Hiring Civilians for Key Roles in January 2025
Hill Air Force Base is seeking talented civilians to fill numerous mission-critical positions. Civilian employees play a vital role in supporting the Air Force's mission, offering technical expertise and specialized skills that enhance the quality of life for Air Force personnel and their families. These positions provide crucial logistical support, engineering services, program management, and other essential functions.
On Thursday, January 16, 2025, the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) will host an on-site hiring event to interview qualified candidates for openings across several key organizations, including:
Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)
Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC)
Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC)
Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC)
75th Air Base Wing
This is a valuable opportunity for civilian professionals to contribute their skills to the Air Forceβs mission. Qualified applicants may be invited to participate in interviews during the event.

Early Morning Tremor Rattles Residents in Morgan County
A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 occurred in southern Morgan County, Utah, early Monday morning. The tremor took place at 4:04 a.m., approximately 9 miles north-northwest of Summit Park, at a depth of nearly 7 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Four individuals reported feeling the quake through the USGS "Did You Feel It?" web page. No damage or injuries have been reported.

π΄ Recipe of the Week: Winter Citrus Salad πβ¨
Kick off the new year with a fresh and zesty Winter Citrus Salad! Itβs light, vibrant, and packed with nutrients to help you start 2025 on a healthy note.
π Ingredients:
2 oranges, peeled and sliced
1 grapefruit, peeled and sliced
1 small fennel bulb, thinly sliced
1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
2 cups mixed greens or arugula
1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
π₯ Instructions:
Arrange the greens on a large platter.
Top with citrus slices, fennel, red onion, and pomegranate seeds.
Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then season with salt and pepper.
Toss lightly before serving.
π‘ Tip: Add crumbled feta or toasted almonds for extra flavor and texture!

Dates: Monday, January 6, 2025 - Tuesday, January 7, 2025
West Bountiful City will provide curbside Christmas tree pickup from January 6β7, 2025. Place your tree on the curb by January 6 to ensure collection.
Be sure to remove all decorations, lights, and stands before placing your tree out.
Add this to your calendar to avoid missing this service!

Date: Monday, January 7, 2025
Woods Cross City will collect Christmas trees on Monday, January 7, 2025. Place your tree on the curb before collection day and ensure all decorations, lights, and trimmings are removed.
π Farmington City Christmas Tree Pickup
Date: Saturday, January 11, 2025
Farmington City will collect Christmas trees on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Crews will make only one pass through neighborhoods. To ensure pickup, place your tree on the curb by 6:00 AM and follow these guidelines:
Place trees near the sidewalk (not in a bag).
Remove all stands, decorations, and lights.
Trees over 8 feet must be cut into shorter lengths.
Keep trees visible on top of snow for easy spotting.
Flocked trees will not be accepted.
π Bountiful City Christmas Tree Pickup
Dates: January 6β17, 2025
π What to Do:
Remove all lights and decorations.
Lay your tree down flat (do not stand it up).
Place it on your park strip or curb.
Only natural (green waste) trees will be collected.
π Note: Street crews will pick up trees as they go through routes, which may not align with your regular garbage day.
