Car Pinned Under Semi in I-15 Crash Near Centerville; Two Hospitalized

A multi-vehicle crash on southbound I-15 near Centerville left two people hospitalized with minor injuries after a car became pinned under a semi-truck. The crash, triggered by traffic slowing for a nearby dirt spill, caused major lane closures and significant traffic delays.

Pickleball for Beginners: South Davis Rec Center Launches Two-Week Camp

The South Davis Recreation Center is inviting community members to dive into the fast-growing sport of pickleball by enrolling in its two-week Pickleball Camp. Designed for beginners, the camp covers the fundamentals of the sport in a fun, engaging environment. Each session runs Monday through Thursday over the span of eight days, providing a comprehensive introduction to pickleball. All necessary equipment—including paddles, balls, and court access—is included, along with professional instruction to help participants build their skills from the ground up. Camp location may vary depending on the selected session.

Lost Blue Schwinn Bike Awaits Owner at West Bountiful Police Station

The West Bountiful Police Department is hoping to reunite a lost bicycle with its rightful owner. Officers recently recovered a blue Schwinn bike found abandoned near 900 North and 700 West. The bicycle, in good condition and clearly ready for more adventures, has since been secured at the police station for safekeeping.

Authorities encourage anyone who may be missing this bike—or knows someone who is—to come forward. To claim the bicycle, individuals will need to provide a description or other proof of ownership. The department is eager to return the bike to its owner so it can get back to doing what it does best: cruising local streets and trails.

No child should go hungry during the summer! From June 2 to July 23, the Davis School District is offering free weekday lunches (Monday–Thursday) for all children ages 1–18 at 15 locations through the Seamless Summer Lunch Program.
