Crossing Guard Struck by Vehicle Near South Davis Junior High in Bountiful
A crossing guard was hit by a vehicle in the crosswalk near South Davis Junior High in Bountiful on Monday. She was not seriously injured, but the incident sparked community concern and renewed calls for increased driver attentiveness near schools.

City Reminds Drivers of Crosswalk Etiquette Ahead of School Return
Centerville is reminding residents about the difference between parallel and zebra crosswalks ahead of the school year. Zebra crosswalks, common in school zones, require drivers to wait until pedestrians are fully across, while parallel ones allow driving once the pedestrian reaches halfway. The city urges caution and awareness to help keep children and families safe.

Why Domestic Violence Calls Pose Unique Risks for Utah Officers and Victims
Utah police say domestic violence calls are among the most dangerous and unpredictable situations they face. Officers must balance immediate safety with long-term prevention, often involving protective orders, weapon removal, and victim support services. Repeat incidents are common, making collaboration with advocates and prosecutors vital. These cases remain high-risk for both victims and responding officers.

🌿 Wellness Wednesday with Erin 🌿
Each week, our health & wellness goddess Erin from Soul Elevation Wellness shares some simple tips to help you feel calmer, stronger, and more balanced in body, mind, and spirit. 💫

This Week’s Tip: The Power of Sound & Stillness
Sound baths use healing vibrations to guide your body into deep relaxation. As the tones wash over you, your brainwaves slow down, helping reduce stress and release tension. Many people report sleeping better and feeling lighter after just one session.
🧘♀️ Even 10–15 minutes of meditation can make a noticeable difference in your day. By pausing to focus on your breath, you give your nervous system a much-needed break from constant stimulation. Regular meditation helps improve focus, reduce anxiety, and create a sense of calm that carries you through the week.
✨ Experience it for yourself! Join us at SOUL Elevation Wellness on Saturday and Monday mornings at 10:30 am for calming sound baths and meditations.
📍 485 S 100 E, Bountiful
