Dance, Desserts, and Donations: Join the SparkLee Sisters Charity Ball in Kaysville

In the heart of Kaysville, Utah, two breast cancer survivors are making a difference with their annual charity event. Rebekah Lowe and her sister, both breast cancer survivors, launched the SparkLee Sisters Charity Ball five years ago as a way to raise funds for cancer charities. This elegant event has grown into a cherished local tradition, providing a fun and meaningful evening for participants while raising money for two important cancer causes.

Held at 325 South Main Street, Kaysville, this year's ball promises to be another unforgettable night. The event, open to adults 18 and older, encourages attendees to dress up, enjoy desserts, and dance to live music from DJ Mark Christiansen of SwissMixx Audio. A red carpet experience with professional photos will kick off the evening, followed by a brief welcome from the SparkLee Sisters themselves. A ballroom dance lesson will help guests warm up for a night of fun on the dance floor.

Along with dancing and treats, the night will feature a silent auction with exciting giveaway prizes, where all proceeds will benefit two cancer charities. With discounted early bird tickets available now, this event promises to be a night to remember — all for a worthy cause.

🛝 From Complaint to Creation: Young Girl Shapes New Playground in Clearfield

An 11-year-old from Clearfield, Utah, took a creative stand when she noticed the playground near her home wasn’t suited for younger children. Rosili Olsen voiced her concerns to city officials, explaining that the original design, full of rope climbers, would be difficult for kids like her younger sisters. Rather than just complaining, she provided her own crayon-drawn ideas for an improved playground. The city worked with her, and a year later, Rosili's vision became a reality with the unveiling of a new playground at Bicentennial Park. Her story demonstrates the power of speaking up and taking action, even at a young age.

Body Found in Submerged Vehicle in Utah Reservoir, Linked to Decades-Old Case

A vehicle containing human remains was recovered from Utah's Starvation Reservoir, linked to a cold case that investigators have been working on for 20 years. The discovery was made by a nonprofit search team specializing in missing person cases. While the identity of the remains is unknown, authorities are treating the case with the same rigor as a homicide investigation. Further details are expected after forensic analysis and the processing of the vehicle.
