The Bountiful Ice Ribbon, a unique outdoor ice skating venue in Town Square, Utah, offers a festive skating experience. The ribbon, inspired by a Canadian ice trail, was designed to attract people to downtown Bountiful. It opened in December 2020, funded by the city's RAP tax. The 8,000 square foot ribbon, maintained with nightly resurfacing, features lighting and sound systems for ambiance. Open during afternoons and evenings with special holiday hours, it provides an enjoyable alternative to traditional ice rinks. The ribbon has been well-received, contributing positively to the local community and businesses.

The Davis County Clerk's Office in Farmington recently conducted a post-election audit, crucial for verifying the accuracy of election results. Open to the public, this audit compared physical ballots with electronic counts. The Lieutenant Governor's Office independently selected the ballots to ensure impartiality. A team of experienced citizens cross-referenced paper ballots with digital images to confirm accurate counting. This process underscores the county's dedication to election security and transparency. Additionally, voters are reminded to update their registration and party affiliation by January 9, impacting their participation in upcoming elections.

Farmington Boys Basketball Maintains Undefeated Streak with Impressive Wins

The Farmington boys basketball team remains undefeated this season after securing two more wins. They defeated Bonneville with a strong defense and efficient offense, led by senior forward Paul Beattie. In a closer game against Maple Mountain, Farmington made a comeback from an early deficit to win. The team now looks forward to more games in the Allstate Falcon Classic and a future home game against Bingham.

The Community Social Club is conducting "The Giving Tree" project for Christmas to provide gifts and a joyful experience to individuals with disabilities and families in need. Community members can participate by donating wrapped gifts or contributing via Cash App and Venmo for gift cards. All donations are tax-deductible and will help make the holiday season special for those less fortunate.
