🚔 Bountiful DUI Crash Sparks I-15 Brush Fire
An 18-year-old driver was arrested early Monday after Utah Highway Patrol says he crashed into a barrier on northbound I-15 near 400 North in Bountiful, igniting a small brush fire. Troopers reported signs of intoxication, and the driver allegedly refused field sobriety tests before being taken to a hospital. The size of the fire was not immediately released.
The crash is a reminder that impaired driving can quickly become a public safety hazard, especially during Utah's dry wildfire season. 🔥

A post from a local vintage shop owner has sparked quite the debate after they shared a photo of a pair of onyx lamps priced at $3,000 inside a local thrift store. The post quickly filled with comments from people saying they've noticed thrift store prices climbing, while others pointed out that rare collectibles can sometimes justify higher prices.

What's That Blood-Curdling Scream Echoing Through West Bountiful at Night?
If you've been startled awake by a strange scream in the middle of the night, you're apparently not alone.
A West Bountiful resident recently asked neighbors if anyone else had been hearing an eerie screech coming from near the canal.
"It's loud and wakes us up. It's not cats fighting... it's a sound we have never heard before."
The post quickly filled with theories. Some neighbors were convinced it sounded like a bobcat, pointing to the famously haunting screams they make. Others suggested coyotes, raccoons fighting, or even a screech owl. One person joked that bobcats make "crazy monster sounds" they'll never forget.
The original poster said they've lived in the area for 14 years and had never heard anything like it until recently.

Participants will attend cheer clinics on August 5–6, then perform and cheer at the August 7 football game.
