Community Input Sought for Old Farm Housing Project in Farmington

Farmington residents have another opportunity to weigh in on the future of the Old Farm property north of Zions Bank on Main Street. The Boyer Company is hosting an open house to present a draft concept plan for the site and gather community feedback.

Spencer Moffat of The Boyer Company, who is leading the project, will be available to discuss the plans, which include a mix of single-family lots and townhomes, totaling 192 units. The event is set for Wednesday, March 19, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Farmington City pool. No city officials will be present, making this a direct conversation between the developer and residents.

For those unable to attend, a PDF copy of the concept plan is available. Moffat encourages residents to share this information with others who may be interested in attending.

North Salt Lake's Monday Night Food Trucks Start April 14

Community residents can once again enjoy a variety of food trucks every Monday night at Legacy Park, starting April 14. Organized by the Food Truck League, this popular event offers a rotating selection of local food vendors, perfect for an evening out with family and friends.

New for 2025, the Vendor Fair will take place only on the first Monday of each month, along with special appearances during the Unity in Community events on June 2, June 16, and September 22, which will mark the final night of the season.

Residents are encouraged to come hungry and support local businesses while enjoying the community atmosphere at Legacy Park every Monday night.

🥎 Farmington Softball Prepares for Tough Season with Fresh Talent and Veteran Leadership

Farmington High’s softball team enters the season with a "Be One" mindset, aiming for improvement with a mix of experienced players and talented freshmen. Led by fourth-year head coach Haleigh Mortensen, the Phoenix are emphasizing pitching, defense, and hitting. Despite a 6-1 opening loss to Taylorsville, the team looks forward to a competitive schedule against regional and non-region opponents.

Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington, Utah, opens for the season on March 22, coinciding with Spring Break for many students. The park will debut The District, a new steampunk-themed area featuring two new rides: Time Tinker, a high-intensity spinning ride, and  , a first-of-its-kind rocking attraction. The classic Helicopters ride will also be revamped as Rivets & Rotors. New shopping and dining options, including a candy store and gelato shop, are also in the works.

Saturn's rings will disappear from view for a short time as we observe them edge-on from Earth!

 March 29 | Partial Solar Eclipse

The Moon will cover up to 93% of the Sun at its peak!

This eclipse will last nearly four hours, starting at 4:51 AM EDT, and will be visible from parts of the Americas, Europe, and Africa.

 April 22 | Lyrid Meteor Shower

A dazzling meteor shower producing 10-15 meteors per hour!

Since the radiant rises before midnight, try spotting meteors before the fat crescent Moon rises after midnight.

April 25 | Triple Conjunction – A Smiley Face in the Sky

The waning crescent Moon will align with Venus and Saturn, forming an enchanting "smiley face" in the sky!
