Bountiful’s Enchanting Holiday Lights Support Local Family in Need
The highly anticipated holiday light display in Bountiful will run nightly from November 29th through the Christmas season, featuring new attractions, a walkthrough option, and a scavenger hunt. Santa will visit on December 14th, offering treats and free photo opportunities. Donations collected during the event will support Tyler Hobert, a local resident battling leukemia, and his family. Visitors can enjoy the display at 1537 N 175 W, Bountiful, UT, with music accessible on 99.3 FM.

Farmington’s Beloved “Elora’s Lights” Finds a New Home at City Hall
Exciting news for Farmington residents: the cherished holiday tradition of Elora’s Lights will continue this year, with the Tree of Hope relocating to Farmington City Hall. Preparations are set to begin soon, as crews are expected to start adorning the tree with lights this week.
Elora’s Lights has long been a source of joy and community spirit, brightening the holiday season for both residents and visitors. The tradition, started by the Horsley family, has been a labor of love, bringing together neighbors who’ve contributed lights, decorations, and countless volunteer hours over the years.
Despite its popularity, the Horsley family faced challenges in maintaining the display, which required significant time and resources during the busy holiday season. Thankfully, the City of Farmington has stepped in to keep the tradition alive. Their support ensures the Tree of Hope, a symbol of unity and goodwill, will continue to inspire the community for years to come.
The relocation to City Hall will provide a central, accessible location for all to enjoy this beloved holiday display. The Horsley family expressed their gratitude to the city and the many volunteers who’ve contributed to making Elora’s Lights a cherished part of Farmington’s holiday celebrations.

Critical Need for Blood Donations in Utah During the Holidays
The City of North Salt Lake is calling on residents to help address a critical need for blood donations during the holiday season. Blood and platelet supplies typically drop at this time of year, even as demand from hospitals rises, creating a strain on life-saving resources.
Shockingly, only 3% of eligible donors currently give blood, highlighting the importance of community participation. Residents are encouraged to step up and make a difference by scheduling a donation appointment through organizations such as ARUP Blood Services or the American Red Cross.
Donating blood is a simple yet profound way to show kindness during the season of giving. Those interested can find more information or schedule an appointment through ARUP’s website at utahblood.org or the Red Cross at redcrossblood.org.
The city reminds everyone that one act of generosity, like donating blood, can have a ripple effect of kindness and potentially save lives.

Scammers Pose as Deputies in Sophisticated Warrant Fraud Scheme
A Salt Lake County couple fell victim to a warrant scam, losing $1,900 to a caller impersonating a sheriff's deputy. The scammer used spoofed numbers and personal information to appear credible. Authorities advise residents to be cautious, noting that law enforcement does not request payments over the phone. Victims are encouraged to report such incidents to assist in combating these scams.
