📲 Emergency Alerts: Are You Signed Up?
Davis County officials are encouraging residents to enroll in the county’s Emergency Alert Program. The service delivers important notifications by text, email, and phone for situations such as neighborhood evacuations, school emergencies, and wildfire threats.

South Davis Rec Center Hits Record Participation
South Davis Recreation District reported strong growth in 2025, with nearly 575,000 visits to the recreation center and more than 32,500 participants in youth and community programs. Revenue increased by about $74,000 over 2024, driven by higher attendance and surging demand for ice rentals, hockey programs, and recreation activities across South Davis County.

🚗 Locals Frustrated by Hit-and-Run Damage
A Bountiful resident reported that a vehicle struck a parked truck near Blacksmith Ice Cream and left without stopping or leaving information. The post sparked a broader community discussion, with several residents sharing similar experiences and calling for drivers to take responsibility when accidents happen.
Hit-and-run incidents can leave local families facing unexpected repair costs and have residents talking about accountability, courtesy, and safety in Bountiful parking lots and streets.

🎉 Farmington Festival Days returns July 6–11 with a full week of hometown fun, including pickleball and basketball tournaments, a classic car show, chalk art, a children's bike parade, and the popular Guns & Hoses kickball game. The celebration wraps up Saturday with a 5K/10K race, community breakfast, parade, vendors, live music, and a fireworks finale at Forbush Park. It's one of Farmington's biggest community traditions—and there's something for every age to enjoy.

🎭 Woods Cross High Theater Camp Returns This Summer! June 8–11
The Woods Cross High School Theater Department is hosting a “Heroes & Villains” themed theater camp for incoming 1st–9th graders. Kids will enjoy theater games, songs, and scenes while building confidence and creativity. Cost is $60 and includes a camp t-shirt. Register by May 19 to guarantee a spot and shirt.

Free summer lunches for all kids 18 & under will be available June 1 – July 23 at select Davis School District schools — including Adelaide Elementary and Meadowbrook Elementary in Bountiful, and Centerville Elementary in Centerville.
