Families are invited to make a splash at the annual Easter Egg Dive happening this Saturday at the South Davis Recreation Center.

Kids ages 6 to 12 will start the fun at 9:00 a.m., followed by the 1 to 5-year-olds at 9:45 a.m. A final all-ages dive will take place at 10:30 a.m.

With candy, games, and plenty of springtime cheer, this is a family-friendly celebration you won't want to miss. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online at southdavisrecreation.com.

Caffe Torino Stays Strong Through Farmington Construction, Calls on Community Support

Even with construction rumbling outside, the ovens are hot and the crepes are still flipping at Caffe Torino, a charming eatery located at 58 N Main Street in the heart of Farmington. Known for its handcrafted sweet and savory crepes, the café has become a local favorite—and it’s determined to keep serving despite the temporary roadwork making access a bit tricky.

The team at Caffe Torino recently took to social media to let customers know they’re open and would love continued support during the construction phase. Loyal patrons quickly responded with enthusiasm and encouragement, asking about hours and expressing relief that the café remains open.

Currently, Caffe Torino operates Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. However, starting May 19, they’ll switch to summer hours and open Tuesday through Sunday, offering more opportunities for locals and visitors to enjoy their unique menu.

With everything from Nutella-drizzled crepes to savory options filled with fresh ingredients, Caffe Torino is inviting the community to swing by, show their support, and enjoy a delicious escape from the construction outside.

Bountiful Welcomes Lucky Slice Pizza to Historic Main Street

Lucky Slice Pizza is opening a new location in downtown Bountiful, expected by fall 2025. The city purchased the former DeBoar’s Running Store building with the intention of adding a restaurant to draw more visitors to Main Street. Lucky Slice was selected after a public RFP process and is known for its creative pizzas, historic design flair, and local artistic touches. The restaurant will offer access from both Main Street and Town Square, enhancing its appeal to families and passersby.

Stolen Truck Rams Police Vehicles in Davis County Chase; Driver in Custody

A high-speed chase through Davis County ended dramatically Tuesday morning after a stolen truck struck multiple law enforcement vehicles before the driver was apprehended.

The incident began just after 9 a.m. when Utah Highway Patrol troopers attempted to stop a truck near Centerville. The vehicle, reported stolen out of Ogden, failed to yield and sped away, prompting a pursuit along northbound I-15. During the chase, the truck collided with several patrol vehicles, including one from the Utah Highway Patrol and another from the Davis County Sheriff's Office.

As the suspect reached Kaysville, the truck careened off the road, crashing into a ditch and disabling the vehicle. Authorities quickly arrested the driver at the scene. No serious injuries were reported, although one trooper was evaluated for minor injuries.

Law enforcement agencies involved emphasized the coordinated effort that led to the swift resolution of the incident, and charges are pending against the driver.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Bridger’s family is celebrating the incredible impact of the Northern Utah Autism Program (NUAP)—a nonprofit early intervention program that has helped their son thrive. NUAP serves local children ages 3–5 with autism and is funded entirely by parents and community support.

To give back, the family is hosting a Golf Tournament Fundraiser this fall at Ogden Golf & Country Club to benefit NUAP. They’re looking for sponsors, raffle donations, and helping hands.
