Young Powersports celebrates the holiday season at its new Davis County location with the Honda Holiday Fest, offering free family activities until December 23. The new Honda dealership, part of a larger dealership campus, focuses on Honda powersports products and will host a grand opening ceremony in March 2024.

Bountiful City Councilwoman Kate Bradshaw Joins Bell Ringing Effort, Encourages Community to Boost Donations

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Bountiful City Councilwoman Kate Bradshaw teamed up with local resident Jim Karper for a bell ringing session, contributing to the Salvation Army's holiday fundraising. The activity, a familiar sight during the holiday season, serves as a reminder of the organization's extensive charitable work, including the Angel Tree program and meal donations.

During this enlightening experience, Bradshaw gained insights into the Salvation Army's initiatives aimed at supporting those in need within the community. It was an afternoon not just filled with the sound of bells but also with the exchange of knowledge and community stories.

In an exciting turn, Bradshaw learned that the Bountiful Smith's location ranks as the second-highest in Utah for donations. Inspired by this revelation and driven by her competitive nature, she has issued a friendly challenge to the community. Bradshaw is rallying Bountiful residents to surpass Cottonwood Heights, currently holding the top spot for donations in the state.

To make this goal more attainable, Bradshaw emphasized that contributions need not be limited to change or cash in the iconic red buckets. She encouraged online donations or Venmo, making it easier for everyone to participate in this benevolent cause.

The councilwoman's involvement in the bell ringing event extends beyond fundraising. It was also an opportunity to connect with fellow residents like Jim Karper, sharing stories about local happenings and discovering shared cultural heritage.

As the community gears up to respond to Bradshaw's call, the spirit of giving and friendly competition is expected to bring a surge in donations, demonstrating the Bountiful Area’s commitment to supporting those in need during the holiday season. Happy Giving! 💞

Community Unites Against Hate: Salt Lake City Rallies in Support of Vandalized Elementary School

Salt Lake City police are investigating a hate crime at Bonneville Elementary School where vandalism with racist, homophobic, antisemitic, and ableist hate speech was found. The incident occurred between Friday and Sunday. Police Chief Mike Brown condemned the hate and praised the community's supportive response. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and asking locals to check their security systems for any relevant information.
