🎤 Local Kids Invited to Shine at Pop Star Camp

Rising Stars Singing and Acting Academy's popular Pop Star Camp kicks off June 22, giving local youth ages 6-14 the chance to learn singing, dancing, acting, and stage performance skills. The two-week camp culminates with a performance in the Centerville Fourth of July Parade and Festival, one of the community's biggest summer celebrations.

It's a fun local opportunity for kids and teens to build confidence, make friends, and perform in front of the community during a signature South Davis County event.

✈️ Freedom 250 Flyover Coming to Utah Skies This July 4

Pilots from Hill Air Force Base’s 419th Fighter Wing and the Utah Air National Guard’s 151st Wing will conduct a statewide flyover on Independence Day as part of the nation’s America 250 celebration. F-35A Lightning II aircraft and a KC-135 Stratotanker will travel across Utah between 8 AM and 11:45 AM, reaching more communities than ever before. Flight routes and estimated timing windows will be released before July 4.

South Davis County residents may get a front-row view of some of Utah’s most advanced military aircraft as they pass overhead during the holiday celebration.

🚨 Arrest Made in West Point Veteran Homicide Case

Davis County investigators have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the May 30 shooting death of 71-year-old West Point resident and military veteran Randy Witten. Authorities say the suspect, Axel Eduardo Chavez, was taken into custody in Las Vegas after a multi-state investigation that relied heavily on surveillance footage and other technology. He is being held in Nevada pending extradition to Utah while the investigation continues.

This arrest marks a major development in a case that deeply impacted the West Point community and brings investigators one step closer to answers for Witten’s family and neighbors. 👉 Read More

Future Braves cheerleaders are invited to join the Bountiful High cheer squad for the ultimate Mini Cheer experience! Participants will attend cheer clinics on August 5–6, then perform and cheer at the August 7 football game. Campers will learn crowd-leading skills, perform a fun dance with poms, cheer alongside the BHS team, and take the field for a halftime performance.
