🌱 Bountiful Community Garden Officially Opens
Bountiful City leaders and local nonprofit Gardens Growing Good celebrated the grand opening of the new Bountiful Community Garden this week. The project gives residents a chance to sign up for their own garden plots while building stronger community connections through gardening and volunteer efforts.
The new garden creates more opportunities for neighbors to connect, grow fresh food locally, and participate in a community-focused outdoor space right here in Bountiful.
💙 From CELL to WELL: Local Market Supports Recovery Community
The South Davis Recovery Club is hosting the CELL to WELL Vendor Market on May 30th in Bountiful, bringing together local makers, artists, bakers, and small businesses for a community event with a bigger purpose. Shoppers can browse handmade goods, woodworking, soaps, 3D art, ghost tours, baked treats, men’s hair care products, and more — all while supporting recovery resources and connection in South Davis.
Events like this help create real community support for people working to rebuild their lives through recovery, while also spotlighting local small businesses and vendors.

🥾 Rescue Response at Adams Canyon After Hiker Injury
Davis County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue responded to Adams Canyon on May 17 after a hiker fell near the upper waterfall. First responders treated the individual for a lower leg injury before safely transporting them down the canyon for additional medical care.
With hiking season ramping up across South Davis trails, this is a good reminder to plan ahead, wear proper footwear, carry water, and use extra caution around steep or slippery terrain.
Officials say hikers should never hesitate to call for help if they find themselves in danger.

⚠️ Out of Area: Missing Glendale Man and Dog Shared on Nextdoor
A local mother shared on Nextdoor that her adult son and his dog have been missing since Sunday night after leaving their Glendale home near Navajo Street around 10:30 PM. Family members say he has not contacted relatives, shown up for work at a Millcreek Jamba location, or responded to calls or texts since leaving. A missing persons report has reportedly been filed, and the family says his cellphone is still active but location services are turned off.
While this is outside the South Davis corridor, community shares across Utah neighborhoods can help spread awareness quickly when someone is missing.
