Woods Cross High Theater Gears Up for "Guys and Dolls" with Record-Breaking Cast

The Woods Cross High School Theater Department is set to take the stage next week with its production of Guys and Dolls. This year’s show features the largest number of theater students since the current director began teaching—an exciting milestone for the program.

With a talented cast ready to bring this classic musical to life, the department is buzzing with energy and anticipation. Audiences can expect a lively performance filled with memorable characters, catchy tunes, and vibrant staging.

Guys and Dolls opens next week at #WXTheater. Tickets are available now at GoFan. Don’t miss the chance to support local talent and enjoy a night of Broadway magic right here at Woods Cross High!

Recycle Electronics at Hogle Zoo and Support Gorilla Conservation

Utah’s Hogle Zoo is encouraging visitors to recycle old electronics through a partnership with ECO-CELL, with proceeds supporting gorilla conservation efforts. Devices can be dropped off year-round at the zoo, offering an easy way to help the environment and endangered species. Visitors can also see the zoo’s baby gorilla, Addo, during their trip.

Wins, Losses, and Big Performances Highlight Busy Week for Area Softball Teams

Bountiful and Davis continued their unbeaten runs in regional softball play, dominating opponents with strong offense and pitching. Farmington split its games, while Viewmont and Woods Cross each picked up key wins but faced setbacks as well. Both Bountiful and Davis look poised for deep postseason runs as they lead their respective regions.

Looking for a meaningful way to make this summer unforgettable? Here’s your chance! Internexus Homestay is excited to welcome a group of Taiwanese students to Utah from June 22 to July 13, and we’re looking for wonderful host families to be part of this special cultural exchange.

✨ Why Host?
Hosting a student isn’t just about offering a place to stay — it’s about sharing cultures, creating friendships, and seeing the world through fresh eyes, all without leaving your home! These students are eager to experience American life, improve their English, and build lasting connections. Many families who’ve hosted before say it’s one of the most rewarding experiences they’ve had — full of fun conversations, shared meals, and new perspectives.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We Still Need 15 Homes!
We have about 15 students who still need a welcoming place to stay — and we’d love to have all spots filled by the end of this month! If you’ve ever thought about hosting, now’s the perfect time to jump in.

🚍 A Little About the Program:

• The students will attend classes at the University of Utah every weekday, starting at 9 AM.

• They'll use public transportation (bus or Trax—specifically Route 455) to get to and from campus. No need for you to drive them!

• After afternoon activities, they’ll be home in time for dinner, giving you a chance to share your day and enjoy some cross-cultural conversation.

💲 Host Family Stipend:
Families will receive $28.57 per student per night as a stipend. Students can share a room, but each will need their own bed (no air mattresses or cots, especially for the boys).

Bountiful High School is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Fools for Jazz, a swing dance event featuring live student and alumni jazz performances, a free dance lesson, themed contests, and food. The event takes place in the school’s old gym, transformed into a 1940s dance hall. Live music runs from 6–9 p.m., with a free dance lesson at 5:30 p.m. Tickets and table reservations are available at dsdgive.net.
