Costumes and Candy Await on Bountifulโs Main Street This Halloween
Families are invited to bring their little witches, superheroes, and monsters to Bountiful's Main Street for a festive Halloween celebration on October 31st.
From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., local businesses along the stretch between 400 North and 500 South will be handing out treats to costumed visitors.
The annual event transforms the heart of downtown Bountiful into a family-friendly trick-or-treat trail, offering a safe and spirited way to enjoy Halloween. With shops participating up and down the historic Main Street, children can enjoy an evening full of sweets and community fun.
This two-hour event is free and open to the public, welcoming all ages to join in the seasonal festivities.

Bailey Orthodontics Offers $2 per Pound for Your Extra Halloween Sweets
Trick-or-treaters can trade in their leftover Halloween sweets for cash this Saturday during the annual Candy Buy Back event hosted by Bailey Orthodontics.
The event, taking place on Saturday, November 1st, will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at both the Bountiful and Farmington locations. Designed to encourage moderation after Halloween indulgence, the Candy Buy Back offers children a fun and rewarding way to part with extra candy while supporting healthier habits.
Participants can bring in up to five pounds of candy and receive $2 per pound in return. Whether you're trying to cut back on sugar or simply want to turn treats into spending money, the event is a local favorite for families each year.
Bailey Orthodontics continues to promote community health while making post-Halloween cleanup a little sweeter.

Overnight Closures Coming to Southbound I-15 in Davis County This Week
Drivers traveling through Davis County should prepare for major overnight detours this week, as southbound Interstate 15 will be completely closed for three nights to allow for roadwork.
The Utah Department of Transportation has scheduled a full closure of all southbound lanes between 200 North and Park Lane. This shutdown will give crews time to safely remove overhead signs along the route.
The first closure begins Thursday night at 10:15 p.m. and lasts until 5 a.m. Similar overnight closures will follow on Saturday and Sunday nights.
During the affected hours, all southbound I-15 traffic will be rerouted through the Park Lane interchange, 200 North, and Main Street. Drivers are advised to plan ahead for potential delays and use alternate routes where possible.

Utah Voters Face New Deadline for Mail-In Ballots in 2025 Election
For Utahโs 2025 general election on Nov. 4, vote-by-mail ballots must now arrive at county clerksโ offices by 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted โ a key change from previous years. This is the first part of HB300, a broader law overhauling Utahโs election system, most of which wonโt take effect until 2026 or 2029. Future rules will include ID number requirements and ending automatic vote-by-mail. Some confusion already emerged during a pilot test in Utah County, but for now, no ID numbers are required โ just ensure ballots are delivered on time.

๐ Bountiful Overwhelms Clearfield, Sets Up Halloween Clash with West Jordan
Bountiful surged into the second round of the 5A state football playoffs with a commanding 56-6 win over Clearfield. The Redhawks took control early, setting the tone with a 16-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. Their momentum only grew from there, as they unleashed a 28-point blitz in the second quarter, capped by a 42-yard scoring play that widened the gap significantly by halftime.
Quarterback play fueled Bountifulโs dominant offensive showing, with three touchdown passes contributing to the lopsided score. On the other side of the ball, the Redhawksโ defense remained locked in, limiting Clearfield to a single touchdownโa third-quarter run that served as the Falcons' only score of the night.
With the decisive win, Bountiful improves to 6-5 on the season and now looks ahead to a Halloween night showdown against eighth-seeded West Jordan in the next round.

๐ฟ Wellness Wednesday with Erin ๐ฟ

๐ฟ Peace Over Power, Friendship Over Force
Dr. Abraham Lowโone of the pioneers of emotional wellnessโoften called his patients โMy dear ones.โ He reminded us that peace doesnโt come from controlling everything around us, but from learning to soften within.
We often expect life to be a string of calm, unbroken serenityโฆ but thatโs not reality. Irritation, change, and challenge are part of being human. What matters is how we meet them.
โจ Wellness Reflection:
This week, choose peace over powerโlet go of the need to control outcomes.
Choose friendship over forceโmeet yourself and others with gentleness.
The goal isnโt a life without waves; itโs learning how to float when they come. ๐๐
