Davis County Suspends Active Search for Missing K9 Kash

The Davis County Sheriff's Office has officially suspended their active search efforts for K9 Kash, a police dog who has gone missing. After conducting extensive ground and aerial searches and investigating all leads, officials have decided to pause the active hunt. Despite this, the sheriff's office remains committed to following up on any new tips regarding Kash's whereabouts. Flyers have been distributed across Farmington and nearby areas, and his information continues to be shared on social media in hopes of his return. Authorities suspect that someone may have Kash without realizing he is a missing police dog. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Davis Dispatch at 801-451-4150.

Halloween Night Safety: How to Stay Seen in the Dark

As Halloween approaches, safety experts are urging trick-or-treaters to prioritize visibility when out after dark. With peak trick-or-treating hours around 6 to 8 p.m., many children will be out while it’s dark, increasing risks. Adding reflective gear like glow sticks, flashlights, or vests to costumes is recommended, and trick-or-treating in groups helps. Drivers are advised to keep headlights on and reduce speeds in residential areas. The importance of safety is underscored by data showing a high rate of pedestrian fatalities on Halloween, particularly among young children.

πŸš— Stolen Car, No Coverage: The Risks of Skimping on Auto Insurance

Auto insurance premiums have risen sharply since the pandemic, pushing many drivers to choose liability-only policies for financial relief. However, this cheaper option leaves drivers vulnerable to significant out-of-pocket costs, as Bernice Evans learned after her car was stolen. Without comprehensive coverage, Evans faced thousands of dollars in losses and now depends on family for transportation. Experts caution against liability-only coverage, recommending drivers explore more affordable full coverage options or discounts to avoid such financial risks.
