💛 Doing Good in Davis County

Looking for a Last-Minute Way to Give Back This Thanksgiving? Sponsor a Pie Today!
Want to make a difference this morning? While all delivery volunteer spots for this year’s Thanksgiving Pie Drive have been filled, there’s still an easy, meaningful way to help — by donating to sponsor pies for community workers.
Pies are being picked up and delivered today, Thursday, November 27th at 9 AM, from two locations:
Bowman’s – 326 Main St, Kaysville (Davis County)
Harmon's – 13330 Kestrel Range Rd, Riverton (Salt Lake & Utah Counties)
Even a $5 donation sponsors one pie, and a gift of $15–$20 can brighten several people's day. Every pie goes to someone working through the holiday — from healthcare staff to first responders — as a small token of gratitude.
It’s not too late to give back this morning. Sponsor a pie and spread some Thanksgiving kindness! 👉 Make a Donation

💪 South Davis Recreation Center Rolls Out Early Morning Fitness Fest for Black Friday
South Davis Recreation Center is turning up the energy this Black Friday with a special series of fitness classes designed to help the community stay active during the holiday weekend. Kicking off early in the morning on Friday, November 28, attendees can participate in a wide variety of high-impact group classes led by the center’s dynamic instructors.
The morning begins at 6:10 a.m. with a fast-paced 321 HIIT workout, followed by Step and Powertone classes that challenge strength and coordination. For those looking for even more variety, options continue with Hilo Power, indoor cycling, and a spirited Zumba session to close out the morning.
While the fitness floor is buzzing with activity, water classes will continue to run on their usual schedule, giving everyone a chance to join in—whether they prefer land-based workouts or aquatic fitness.
With something for all fitness levels and interests, the Recreation Center invites the community to jump-start their day with movement and energy before diving into their holiday plans.

Kaysville Warns Residents of Email Scam Disguised as City Communication
Kaysville City officials are alerting residents to a fraudulent email circulating in the community that falsely claims to be from the city. The suspicious message urges recipients to download a file through SendSpace, a third-party file-sharing platform.
City representatives have confirmed that the email is not legitimate and emphasized that Kaysville City does not use SendSpace for any official communications or file distribution. Residents are strongly advised not to click on any links or download any attachments from this email. Instead, they should delete the message immediately to avoid potential security threats.
The city is urging the public to remain cautious and to help inform others by sharing the warning to prevent further exposure to the scam.

Ogden Family Pleads for Help Locating Missing 20-Year-Old
Coltin Logan Jett, 20, has been missing since the night of November 14th, last seen around 17th Street and Wall Avenue in Ogden. He was wearing a navy hoodie, jeans, and black skater shoes with red writing.
Coltin is a high-functioning autistic adult described as quiet, kind, and a passionate gamer. Days before vanishing, he told his mother he’d received threatening messages online from someone who claimed to have his IP address.
K9 units tracked his scent to a street corner, where the trail suddenly ended. He has now been missing for 12 days. His family is offering a $300 reward for information leading to his safe return and urges residents to check security cameras and report any tips to police. •

🧣 Sunday Soup & Blanket Drive Helping Those in Need
Local neighbors are stepping up in a big way through the Sunday Soup and Bountiful Blanket Drive, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake City. Organizer Fox Les is collecting donations of used blankets, coats, gloves, and beanies — with a convenient drop-off box located at Dick’s Market on Orchard Drive.
Food donations are also welcome, including canned goods, noodles, beans, and vegetables, which volunteers use to prepare hot soup handed out every Sunday morning.
Those interested in helping cook, donate, or assist with distribution can reach out to Les directly for details.
As temperatures drop, this grassroots effort is a powerful reminder of Bountiful’s caring spirit and the difference we can make together.
