Bountiful residents near Boulton Way should prepare for a temporary water shutoff during valve repairs. Meanwhile, a hiker is safe after being rescued when her knee became lodged in rocks in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Local Heroes Step In to Stop Suicide Attempt Following Rollover

Two Centerville residents were honored by the city for saving a man’s life during a suicide attempt on I-15. After witnessing a rollover crash, they restrained the distressed driver from running into traffic until police arrived. Their bravery was credited with preventing a tragedy.

Bountiful to Temporarily Shut Off Water Near Boulton Way for Repairs

Residents in the area surrounding 115 West Boulton Way in Bountiful should prepare for a temporary water service interruption on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The outage will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as city crews conduct necessary valve repair work.

Homes expected to be impacted were notified in advance with door hanger notices. During the shutdown, residents are advised to store enough water to meet their drinking, cooking, and hygiene needs.

The city’s water department is available to answer questions and provide further information at (801) 298-6180. City officials expressed appreciation for the community’s patience and cooperation as they work to improve essential infrastructure.

Hiker Rescued After Knee Gets Stuck in Rocks at Little Cottonwood Canyon

A hiker in Little Cottonwood Canyon was injured Sunday after their knee became stuck between rocks while scrambling near Gate Buttress. Search and rescue teams freed the hiker using technical gear, then helped them to safety. The hiker was taken by ambulance for treatment.

💙 Local Family Gives Back to Life-Changing Autism Program 💙

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Bridger’s family is celebrating the incredible impact of the Northern Utah Autism Program (NUAP)—a nonprofit early intervention program that has helped their son thrive. NUAP serves local children ages 3–5 with autism and is funded entirely by parents and community support.

To give back, the family is hosting a Golf Tournament Fundraiser this fall at Ogden Golf & Country Club to benefit NUAP. They’re looking for sponsors, raffle donations, and helping hands.
