🏐 Bountiful Boys Volleyball Stays Hot With Seven Straight Wins

Bountiful boys volleyball had a standout week, winning seven matches including a key Region 5 victory over Viewmont and sweeping the Sky View Tournament. Davis and Farmington also notched regional wins, while Viewmont split matches and Woods Cross secured a win over Bonneville.

From Backyard Hobby to 900 Hives: One Man’s Mission to Save the Bees

Richard Homer, a Davis County resident, turned a gardening class into a full-scale beekeeping operation with 900 hives. What began as a backyard hobby grew into a mission to support pollinators and educate others about their vital role in the food supply. He now runs Homer’s Honeybee Supply, places hives in local yards, and helps pollinate California’s almond crops—all while spreading awareness about the importance of bees.

Homer encourages everyone to plant bee-friendly flowers and support pollinators in any way they can. For him, beekeeping isn’t about profit—it’s about passion. He want people to understand the value of bees.
