📞Utah Woman Overcomes Phone Line Trouble with Lumen After Husband's Passing
Bountiful woman, Barbara Keller experienced a frustrating situation when her phone line developed an annoying buzz, making it hard to hear anyone. This issue popped up just after her husband passed away, causing her to miss important calls about his hospice care. Despite trying several times to get Lumen (formerly CenturyLink) to fix it, she didn't get any response initially. The problem got so bad that Keller had to look for help elsewhere. Finally, after more intervention, Lumen sorted out the issue, got her phone line back to normal, and even gave her a credit for a month's service. Keller was really relieved and happy to have her landline working properly again.

California Migration Reshapes Utah: Balancing Growth and Culture in America's Fastest-Growing State
Utah is seeing a major increase in residents, mainly from California, changing its community makeup. The state, with the fastest growth in the U.S. from 2010 to 2020, is now more influenced by people moving in than by natural birth rates. This growth is driven by Utah's strong economy and job opportunities, especially in tech and business areas like Silicon Slopes. However, this rapid increase in population is challenging Utah to balance new developments with maintaining its unique culture and lifestyle.

100 Years of Educational Passion: Honoring Bountiful Elementary's Treasured Assistants
At Bountiful Elementary, a remarkable milestone has been reached: three office assistants, Linda Pearson, Rosa Knight, and Vera (Jeannie) Jones, have collectively worked at the school for an astounding 100 years. This trio has not only served in various capacities but has also become a foundational part of the school's community and spirit.
Rosa Knight, who began her journey at the school in 1998, initially served as an office assistant with a focus on recess duties. However, her role evolved significantly with the influx of Hispanic immigrant families. As the only Spanish-speaking staff member, Knight became a vital bridge, aiding non-English speaking students and their parents with daily translations, thereby forming a deep bond with the community.
Jeannie Jones, with 30 years at Bountiful Elementary, has dedicated her career to enhancing reading skills among students. Involved in the SIPPS (Systematic Instruction in Phonological Awareness, Phonics, and Sight words) program, Jones has been instrumental in shaping effective reading strategies, showing a commitment to educational excellence.
Linda Pearson's association with the school dates back to 1978, starting as a volunteer. Her involvement grew over the years, leading her to become an office assistant and attendance secretary. Pearson's deep connection to the school is reflected in her family ties, with her children and grandchildren also attending Bountiful Elementary.
These three women have not only committed decades of their lives to the school but have also left a lasting impact on generations of students. Their dedication is a testament to the significant role educators and school staff play in shaping the lives and futures of young minds.

🏀 Utah Women's Basketball Triumphs Over BYU with 3-Point Prowess and Teamwork
In an exciting basketball match, the University of Utah's women's team, 12th in the national ranking, showcased their skill against Brigham Young University with a focus on 3-pointers, leading to an impressive 87-68 victory. Key players like Kennady McQueen and Alissa Pili made significant contributions, with the team overall demonstrating excellent shooting accuracy and teamwork. Despite a strong challenge from BYU and a concerning injury to Utah's Gianna Kneepkens, Utah's strategic emphasis on 3-point shots and effective rebounding secured their win, highlighting their adaptability and talent.

BYU's Resilient Effort Falls Short Against ASU in NCAA Volleyball Clash
Arizona State University's women's volleyball team triumphed over BYU in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Round of 16 for the first time in nearly 30 years. Marta Levinska shone with 17 kills, 10 digs, and five aces, leading the Sun Devils to a historic victory. Despite the loss, BYU's performance was marked by resilience and teamwork, with Whitney Bower's leadership and grit leaving a memorable impact. This match not only highlighted the athletic prowess of both teams but also marked an end of an era for some players while setting the stage for the next generation of collegiate volleyball stars.
