Overnight I-15 Closure Set for Sept. 4 in Davis County
Drivers in Davis County should prepare for overnight traffic disruptions this coming week as crews work to remove overhead signage along southbound I-15. The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has announced that the freeway will be fully closed between 200 North and Park Lane from 10 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, until 5 a.m. on Friday, September 5.
During this period, all southbound traffic will be detoured via 200 North and Main Street, reconnecting with I-15 at Park Lane. The closure is part of ongoing work related to the Shepard Lane Interchange project.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, expect delays, and follow posted traffic control signage throughout the detour. Wild Sage Offers Cozy, Flexible Event Space in Bountiful
BOUNTIFUL — Wild Sage, a new event venue in Bountiful, provides an inviting space for weddings, reunions, and other gatherings that outgrow the home. Opened in April at 1480 Orchard Drive, the self-service center offers tables, chairs, and linens, with guests free to bring their own food or host potlucks. Rentals are charged by the hour, regardless of event type.
Owner Megan Ericksen, a local artist, also uses the space to support creative and community events. She plans to host art shows, food trucks, and more to help local artists thrive.
On September 22, Wild Sage will host a Grab & Go Packs event from 6–9 p.m., aiming to create 500 care kits for students experiencing homelessness, in partnership with the Davis Education Foundation.

🔥 Fast Action by Locals Stops Fire From Spreading in Utah Neighborhood 💦
A lightning strike during a storm in Cedar Hills ignited a tree in the front yard of a home while the residents were away. Nearby neighbors acted fast, using a garden hose to control the flames before firefighters arrived. Thanks to their efforts, the fire didn’t spread to nearby homes. The family expressed deep gratitude for the community’s quick and caring response.
