Kitchen 88 Brings Its Signature Flavors to Kaysville in January
Kitchen 88, a beloved restaurant from American Fork, is expanding to Kaysville, with plans to open in January in the old Wingerโs location. Known for its fusion of fine-dining quality and fast-casual service, the restaurant serves dishes like tri-tip steak and pork tenderloin, all prepared using sous vide cooking for tenderness and flavor. The Kaysville site will emphasize local sourcing, fresh ingredients, and community ties, with partners connected to Davis and Weber counties. Kitchen 88 is also hiring for its new location and aims to maintain a strong employee culture. Renovations are currently underway.

Grieving Through the Holidays? Free Support Gatherings in Bountiful Offer Comfort
As the holiday season approachesโa time often filled with joy and family traditionsโmany individuals are instead faced with the deep ache of loss. Recognizing how difficult this time of year can be for those grieving the death of a loved one, local therapist Jessica Walters is offering a space of support, healing, and connection.
Two free grief gatherings will be held at her therapy office in Bountiful, welcoming anyone who is navigating loss this season. These events are designed to foster a sense of community, allowing attendees to share their experiences, learn coping strategies, and feel less alone in their grief.
The gatherings will take place on Monday, November 25th and Monday, December 16th, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., at 1355 N. Main Street, Suite 8, in Bountiful.
Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to RSVP by calling 801-513-1727.
These free sessions aim to provide a compassionate pause in the rush of the holiday seasonโoffering warmth, empathy, and a path toward healing.

Pedals Over Pickups: Bountiful Families Bike to School for a Better Morning
In Bountiful, Utah, a creative twist on the school commute is making Monday mornings more enjoyable. Each week, students from Bountiful Elementary join a โbike bus,โ pedaling to school together with their parents. The initiative was started by Jeff Hepworth, a local dad and business owner, who wanted a healthier, less stressful alternative to the typical car drop-off.
Rain or shine, families ride as a group, with adults helping to ensure safety and traffic awareness. The bike bus not only gets kids moving but also builds confidence, strengthens community ties, and starts the week on a positive note. For many families, itโs become a favorite routine โ turning the morning rush into a shared adventure on two wheels.

๐ Bountiful Girls Baskentball Takes Down Lone Peak Behind Second-Quarter Surge
Bountiful opened its basketball season on a strong note with a 58-47 victory over Lone Peak, thanks in large part to a dominant second-quarter performance. The Redhawks took control of the game during that stretch, outscoring the Knights 19-8 and building a lead they would maintain through the final whistle.
Offensively, Bountiful was paced by a dynamic backcourt. Maleah Nelson provided consistent scoring, finishing with 16 points, including three shots from beyond the arc. Teammate Milika Satuala contributed 15 points, helping to keep pressure on Lone Peakโs defense throughout the game.
Lone Peak remained competitive, with Charli Warner delivering a strong performance. She led the Knights with 17 points and matched Nelsonโs mark from deep with three three-pointers. Despite Warner's efforts, the Knights couldn't overcome the second-quarter deficit.
With this win, Bountiful moves to 1-0 to start the season, showing early promise on both ends of the court.

๐ฟ Wellness Wednesday with Erin ๐ฟ

๐ฟ Your Mind Needs Stillness Too
We clean our homes, tidy our desks, organize our calendarsโฆ
but how often do we clear space inside our minds?
Erin reminds us this week that even a few minutes of intentional stillness can reset the nervous system, calm racing thoughts, and give our bodies permission to relax. Meditation isnโt about โgetting it rightโ โ itโs about giving your mind a place to rest.
โจ Wellness Tip:
Take two minutes today to sit quietly, close your eyes, and repeat a simple phrase like โI am hereโ or โLet it be.โ
Mantras help anchor wandering thoughts and shift the brain from stress mode into softening mode.
As Erin says, โStillness isnโt an escape โ itโs nourishment.โ

๐งฃ Community Cares: Sunday Soup & Blanket Drive Helping Those in Need
Local neighbors are stepping up in a big way through the Sunday Soup and Bountiful Blanket Drive, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake City. Organizer Fox Les is collecting donations of used blankets, coats, gloves, and beanies โ with a convenient drop-off box located at Dickโs Market on Orchard Drive.
Food donations are also welcome, including canned goods, noodles, beans, and vegetables, which volunteers use to prepare hot soup handed out every Sunday morning.
Those interested in helping cook, donate, or assist with distribution can reach out to Les directly for details.
As temperatures drop, this grassroots effort is a powerful reminder of Bountifulโs caring spirit and the difference we can make together.
