Kaysville Theatre Kicks Off Busy Summer Matinee Season

The long-anticipated summer matinee season has returned to Kaysville Theatre, drawing excited families and movie lovers from across the area. With these popular screenings often selling out, the theatre has offered a few helpful reminders to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Patrons are encouraged to arrive early, as seating is first-come, first-served and saving seats is not permitted. For those driving in, plenty of parking is available on the east side of Main Street within the city complex—just a short walk from the theatre entrance.

And of course, no visit to Kaysville Theatre would be complete without its beloved popcorn, a fan favorite that continues to be one of the main draws of the summer movie tradition.

Julia Reagan’s Legacy Lives On as Billboards Begin to Come Down

Julia Reagan became an unexpected icon after memorial billboards featuring her image spread across Salt Lake City in 2024. Initially a tribute from her family, the campaign went viral as internet users tied it to a Charli XCX song lyric. Now, over 300 billboards are scheduled for removal by the end of June 2025. Julia, a community advocate and devoted family matriarch, is remembered not just for the billboards but for a vibrant, accomplished life. Her family plans to reintroduce the memorial billboards annually.

🥍 Farmington Girls Make History with 6A Lacrosse Championship Win

Farmington High School's girls lacrosse team clinched its first 6A state title with a 13-8 win over Mountain Ridge. Dominating from the start, they built a 9-4 halftime lead and maintained control throughout the game. The victory capped off a strong playoff run and highlights the program’s growth and teamwork.

Missing South Jordan Teen Found Safe in Colorado Springs After Month-Long Search

A 15-year-old girl from South Jordan who had been missing for over a month has been located alive and in good health in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Authorities confirmed that the teen arrived at a local police department there late in the evening and identified herself as the individual reported missing from Utah.

Following her appearance at the Colorado Springs Police Department, local officers swiftly contacted their counterparts in South Jordan. She is now in the care of law enforcement and is expected to be reunited with her family soon.

Officials described the development as a relief for the investigative team that has been working diligently on the case. Despite the teen being found safe, the case remains under active investigation.

Law enforcement emphasized that significant efforts are still underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. So far, three individuals have been formally charged in connection with the case. Authorities have made it clear that additional arrests could follow as new information emerges.

Investigators remain committed to pursuing accountability for anyone found to have played a role in the girl’s disappearance. While the outcome brings relief, authorities stress that the investigation is far from over.

No child should go hungry during the summer! From June 2 to July 23, the Davis School District is offering free weekday lunches (Monday–Thursday) for all children ages 1–18 at 15 locations through the Seamless Summer Lunch Program.
