Salmonella Hits Utah: Cantaloupe Recall After 11 People Infected
A recent salmonella outbreak in Utah, traced back to contaminated cantaloupes, has resulted in 11 infections across the state. The affected individuals range from 2 to 83 years old, and five needed hospitalization. This outbreak is part of a larger issue that has affected 302 people in 42 states, causing four deaths. Utah health authorities have advised against consuming pre-cut cantaloupe of unknown origin and urged the disposal of recalled cantaloupes.

Avoid Travel Delays: Key Packing Advice from TSA for Holiday Flyers
As holiday air travel ramps up, TSA at Salt Lake City International Airport is highlighting the frequent issue of passengers unknowingly packing prohibited items, with around 900 pounds of such items confiscated monthly. With over 425,000 travelers expected through TSA checkpoints in the coming weeks, officials are stressing the importance of checking which items are allowed. The TSA website and app provide detailed guidance, especially useful for those carrying holiday gifts and food. Passengers are advised to use gift bags for presents and to check in larger liquid items, while arriving well ahead of their flight time to navigate busy security lines.

🏀 High School Hoops Hustle: Farmington and Davis Show Grit in Recent Games
Farmington and Davis High School basketball teams have had a rollercoaster of performances recently. Farmington, with a 5-2 record, experienced both defeat and victory, highlighted by senior Paul Beattie's exceptional performances. Meanwhile, Davis High encountered a tough loss against Olympus but showed resilience and ability to dominate in other games.
