However, challenges like childcare, particularly in Utah's "child care deserts," and the state's significant gender wage gap, continue to affect women's workforce participation.

Syracuse Event Celebrates Military Moms with Special Baby Shower

The "Star-Spangled Babies" event in Syracuse honored 75 new and expecting military mothers with gifts and support. Hosted by Operation Homefront and Kent's Market, it provided much-needed assistance and recognition to the families of those serving in the military.

Ahead of Schedule: West Davis Highway Set for January Opening

The West Davis Highway (State Route 177) in Utah is set to open on January 6, ahead of its original summer 2024 completion date. This 16-mile stretch connects Interstate 15 in Farmington to State Route 193 in West Point. The project's expedited completion is credited to a design-build approach and collaboration with Farmington Bay Constructors. A public celebration is planned on the opening day. The highway includes several interchanges and over 10 miles of trails. Future plans include extending it into Weber County as the "West Weber Highway," though no timetable is set for this expansion.
