Community Asked to Help Identify Suspect in Bountiful Business Break-In

The Bountiful City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a weekend break-in at a local business. Although the images obtained are not of the highest quality, detectives are working diligently with the available evidence. The department is encouraging anyone with information about the individual to contact Detective Williams directly at (801) 298-6156, referring to case number B24-17374. See facebook post

Bountiful’s Taylor Manor Brings Halloween Thrills with a Charitable Twist

Taylor Manor in Bountiful is now open for the Halloween season, inviting families and friends to come and enjoy a spooky yet delightful display. This local favorite offers an enchanting experience that’s perfect for all ages. Located at 1240 E. 2100 S., the display is best enjoyed on foot, with plenty of fun details to explore.

This year, Taylor Manor is teaming up with Orchard Animal Clinic for a special cause. All donations collected during the event will help the clinic purchase an x-ray machine, which will make a big difference for the animals in their care. Visitors can donate in a variety of ways—whether through cash, Venmo, or by bringing items like used blankets, towels, sheets, or cat food (both wet and dry). There’s also a wishlist available online for those who prefer to buy specific items.

The organizers of Taylor Manor are excited to welcome the community and share some Halloween fun while supporting a great cause. They encourage everyone to stop by, have a spooky good time, and help make a positive impact for the local animal clinic.

For more details, search for "Taylor Manor Haunt" on Facebook. Happy Halloween!

🏈 High School Football Teams Battle for Playoff Spots in Final Week

The final week of Utah's high school football regular season sees teams vying for playoff positioning. Bountiful, tied for the top spot in Region 5, secured a key victory over Roy to improve to 8-1. Meanwhile, Farmington's recent resurgence continued with a 28-20 win over Davis, pushing them to 3-1 in Region 1. Woods Cross and Viewmont also remain in contention after crucial victories. With the playoffs approaching, these final games will determine standings and seedings for the upcoming state tournament.

🚨 Police and Bomb Squad Respond to Suspicious Device at Kaysville School

On Saturday, October 19, Kaysville Police and the Davis County Bomb Squad were dispatched to Endeavour Elementary School following the discovery of a suspicious device. Authorities responded to the report around 3:50 p.m. after a potentially dangerous homemade firework or pipe bomb was found on the southeast side of the school.

Given the potential risk, the bomb squad was called to the scene. They safely detonated the device and took the remains for further examination. After the detonation, officers thoroughly searched the surrounding area for any additional devices but found none. The police confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the local community.

Medicare Monday: Meet Our New Expert,
Matthew Jorgenson!

💡 Medicare Monday Tip:
Important Changes to Medicare Part D

Hello, Bountiful Buzz readers!

Many of you may already be aware of upcoming changes to Medicare Part D, but for those who aren’t, here’s what you need to know. Starting January 1st, the coverage gap will be eliminated, and the federal government has set a $2,000 maximum out-of-pocket (MOOP) limit.

With this change, we’re seeing significant premium increases and reductions in benefits across all Medicare Advantage (MAPD) and Part D (PDP) plans. It’s essential to review your plan to ensure it still fits your needs. Remember, the current enrollment period ends December 7th.

If you need assistance, I’m available to help. You can find me at my Medicare table at Smith’s (614 W 2600 S in Woods Cross) on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, and Fridays from 9 AM to 4 PM. Feel free to call me if you prefer.

Thanks again,

Matthew Jorgenson
