๐ข 42 North Hosts Open House for Local Vendors
A new Davis County event and workspace venue, 42 North, is opening its doors to the public with a community Open House on March 7 from 11 AM to 2 PM. The venue is inviting local caterers, photographers, DJs, bakers, rental companies, and other event professionals to showcase their services for free. Participating businesses will also have the opportunity to join 42 Northโs recommended vendor list.
Why It Matters: This gives South Davis entrepreneurs a free way to promote their services, build partnerships, and connect with potential clients right here in the community.

๐ Bountiful Library โThe Twigโ Opening Delayed
The Davis County Libraryโs temporary Bountiful Branch space โ known as โThe Twigโ at 85 N Main โ will not open this week as originally planned due to a delay. Library officials now expect to open sometime next week, if all goes smoothly. A grand opening celebration is still scheduled for March 25.
Why It Matters: Bountiful families waiting for local library access will need to hang tight a bit longer, but a full reopening celebration is right around the corner.
๐๏ธ Main Street Housing Debate Heats Up
A lively discussion on the Bountiful Community Facebook page is spotlighting strong opinions about the rise of apartments and mixed-use housing along Main Street. Some residents say adding housing above businesses brings more foot traffic and supports local shops. Others worry about traffic, water supply, parking, rising rents, and the loss of Bountifulโs โsmall townโ feel.
Why It Matters: As more mixed-use and high-density projects are proposed, these decisions will shape everything from commute times to local business growth.

๐ Grizzlies Move On in 6A Playoffs Over Farmington
The Copper Hills Grizzlies girls basketball team pulled out a 41-30 win over the Farmington Phoenix in a 6A second-round playoff game. Copper Hills led early and held the edge throughout, with standout contributions from Abby Bush and Ella Creer (10 points each), while Farmington battled hard behind efforts from Makelle Weber and Olive Wayland. The Grizzlies now advance to the quarterfinal round next week.
Why It Matters: Local fans saw a great playoff battle between neighboring schools, and Copper Hills keeps its postseason hopes alive โ while Farmingtonโs season ends after a solid effort. Read More
