Hopebox Theatre Rallies for Kendra with Special Jekyll and Hyde Fundraiser
The Hopebox Theatre is offering the community a special way to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Kendra and her husband, Ken, through the power of entertainment. Kendra, who has been a dedicated supporter of others facing challenges through the Wall of Hope initiative, is now bravely battling cancer. In response, the theatre is rallying support for her during this difficult time.
To contribute, community members can purchase tickets to see Jekyll and Hyde at the Hopebox Theatre, with proceeds directly benefiting Kendra. Alternatively, donations can be made directly to Kendra through Venmo at @givehopebox, allowing supporters to help in just a matter of seconds. Those who know Kendra personally are also invited to share their favorite memories or express their admiration in the comments, as a way to lift her spirits and show solidarity.
ποΈTickets and additional details can be found on the theatre's website, where visitors can also read more about Kendraβs journey.

π Utah Hockey Club Falls to Devils in First Shutout Loss of the Season
The Utah Hockey Club suffered their first loss of the season, a 3-0 shutout against the New Jersey Devils, after starting 3-0. Despite their strong offense in earlier games, Utah struggled to break through the Devils' defense. Key issues included failing to penetrate inside the offensive zone, accumulating seven penalties, and losing rhythm due to bad positioning. Two of New Jersey's goals came during power plays. Utah also faced a potential setback with defenseman Sean Durzi's injury during the game.

Utah Rolls Out Touchless Crosswalk Signals to Boost Safety
Utah is transitioning crosswalk signals to touchless technology to improve safety and accessibility. By 2033, all state-managed intersections will feature this upgrade, which allows pedestrians to activate the signal by waving or using a phone app. The change primarily benefits people with disabilities and those uncomfortable touching buttons. Each intersection upgrade costs $7,000, with $800,000 allocated annually for implementation. The technology also includes audio cues, and officials aim to enhance pedestrian safety by reducing fatalities through such innovations.

Welcome to Wellness Wednesday! This week, weβre bringing you practical tips, healthy recipes, and a little bit of mindfulness to help you feel your best. Letβs dive in! πͺβ¨
βοΈ Wellness Tip of the Week
Boost Your Mood with a Quick Walk! πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ
Feeling sluggish or stressed? Take a 10-minute walk outside. Walking can help clear your mind, reduce anxiety, and boost endorphins. If you canβt get outside, try pacing indoors or doing a few stretches at your desk. Your mood will thank you! π
π₯€ Healthy Recipe of the Week
Simple Spinach & Berry Smoothie π₯¬ππ

Packed with vitamins and antioxidants, this smoothie is the perfect pick-me-up! Hereβs how to make it:
- 1 cup fresh spinach π₯¬
- 1 banana π
- 1/2 cup mixed berries (frozen or fresh) π
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk π₯
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional) π±
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Enjoy your healthy start to the day! π
π§ββοΈ Mindful Moment
Take a moment to close your eyes and breathe deeply. π Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, and exhale for 4 seconds. Repeat this for one minute to center yourself and bring calm to your day. π§ββοΈ Try it now β you deserve a mindful break! πΏ
π― Quick Wellness Challenge
This Weekβs Challenge: Drink More Water π§π§π§
Your challenge this week is to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Staying hydrated is key to improving focus, energy levels, and skin health. Keep a water bottle with you, and make it a fun goal to refill it! π¦
π§ Wellness Myth-Busting
Myth: You need to do intense workouts every day to stay healthy. βπͺ
Truth: While exercise is essential, you donβt need to hit the gym for hours every day to be healthy. In fact, moderate physical activity like walking, yoga, or gardening can be just as effective for maintaining good health. πΈ Remember, balance is key! βοΈ
Thatβs it for this weekβs Wellness Wednesday! π We hope these tips help you on your wellness journey. Stay tuned next week for more practical ways to boost your well-being! πΏβ¨
