Bountiful Launches Snowplow Name Reveal as Snow Finally Arrives
Bountiful City is adding fun to winter with the launch of its snowplow naming series — and the timing couldn’t be better, as snow finally returned this week.
Residents recently submitted clever names for the city’s 11 snowplows and brine truck, and now the big reveal has begun. Two vehicle names will be introduced each Tuesday and Thursday until the full fleet is revealed.
Kicking things off are Darth Blader and Clearapathra, drawing excitement and laughter from the community. Some residents even joked that the snowfall waited for the names to be announced. The campaign has brought a lighthearted spirit to the season and sparked ideas for fan clubs and themed pages for the plows.
The city plans to keep the momentum going with more names unveiled in the coming weeks — and maybe a few more snowflakes along the way.

Mobile Food Pantry Offering Free Groceries Today in Woods Cross
Residents in need of food assistance can stop by the Mobile Food Pantry today in Woods Cross between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., or while supplies last. The distribution will take place at 2064 S 800 W and is open to all individuals and families facing food insecurity.
The pantry will provide a variety of items, including refrigerated, frozen, and shelf-stable goods. To receive food, attendees simply need to fill out a brief intake form with basic information—no additional documents are required.
Volunteers helping with the event are asked to arrive by 9 a.m. and to dress warmly, as the distribution will take place outdoors in cold weather.

Mayor Kate Bradshaw Supports E-Bike Regulation Bill at State Level
Bountiful Mayor Kate Bradshaw expressed her support for a state-level bill aimed at refining regulations around electric bicycles and motorcycles. The legislation, HB 381 S1 Electric Bike Amendments, was reviewed in the House Transportation Committee and is sponsored by Representative Paul Cutler.
The proposed bill seeks to clarify how e-bikes and e-motorcycles are classified under Utah law, helping ensure that these vehicles are used safely and appropriately. Importantly, it also safeguards the ability of local governments to set rules tailored to their own safety and recreational needs.
Mayor Bradshaw’s support highlights her ongoing commitment to thoughtful transportation policy and local autonomy, particularly as e-bike use grows in suburban and urban areas across the state.

State Drill Semifinals in Full Swing as Local Teams Step Up
Utah's 5A and 6A State Drill Competition semifinals are currently taking place at Utah Valley University. Local schools from Viewmont, Bountiful, Woods Cross, and Farmington are participating, showcasing their talent and teamwork. Community members are encouraged to follow along and stay tuned for final results.

Hot + Cold = Powerful Healing
Saunas and cold plunges aren’t just trends—they’re time-tested tools for whole-body wellness. When used intentionally, the contrast between heat and cold helps your body reset, recharge, and recover.
🔥 Why Sauna Therapy Helps:• Relaxes muscles and eases tension | ❄️ Why Cold Plunges Are Powerful:• Reduces inflammation and soreness |
✨ Wellness Tip:
If you’re new, start slow. Try heat first, then a brief cold exposure (even 30 seconds counts). Focus on steady breathing—the breath is what tells your body it’s safe.
Hot and cold together create balance. Sometimes healing looks like warming up…
and sometimes it looks like a brave, refreshing plunge. 🤍
🔥❄️ Curious to experience it for yourself?
Come try the sauna and cold plunge at Soul Elevation Health & Wellness. Stop by, say hi, and give yourself a little intentional self-care—your body will thank you. 🤍
