⭐️ Betony Traveling Café
Bringing Global Flavors to Your Table – Without Leaving Home

If you’ve ever dreamed of having a private chef create a beautiful, custom meal right in your own kitchen, meet Betony Traveling Café—a local private chef and catering service led by owner and founder Chef Billy Moschella, Jr.

Betony Traveling Café specializes in intimate, small-scale events prepared on-site in clients’ homes, vacation properties, or venue rentals. Billy crafts custom, themed menus featuring flavors from a wide range of ethnic cuisines, giving every gathering a unique, restaurant-quality experience without the rush or noise of dining out.

Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Billy grew up in a family of successful restaurateurs and is largely self-taught as a chef, honing his skills through years of passion, creativity, and hands-on experience. After moving to Utah in 2016, he launched Betony Traveling Café in 2018 and has been delighting clients ever since.

In addition to private chef and catering services, Betony Traveling Café also offers:

  • Pre-packaged meal services – perfect for busy weeks or special occasions

  • Cooking classes – a fun, interactive way to learn new techniques and cuisines

  • Plans for an artisan sandwich shop based out of Sabone Kitchen, a shared commercial kitchen in Woods Cross

What sets Betony Traveling Café apart is Billy’s commitment to high standards and diverse culinary options. He puts great care into every detail—from menu planning to presentation—striving to make each event feel personal, memorable, and tailored to the people around the table.

Billy is just beginning to plant deeper roots in the Bountiful/Woods Cross community through his collaboration with Sabone Kitchen and is excited to connect with local residents and businesses. He’s also open to hosting community activities and events as he becomes more involved in the area.

Upcoming Event: Holiday Mediterranean Cooking Class

Keep an eye out for Betony Traveling Café’s inaugural Holiday Mediterranean Cooking Class:

🕓 4:00–8:00 PM
📍 Sabone Kitchen, Woods Cross

It’s a great chance to learn, taste, and experience Mediterranean flavors just in time for the holidays.

Bountiful Reminds Residents to Bag Leaves, Not Blow Them into Streets

As fall leaves begin to pile up, Bountiful City is urging residents to bag them rather than leaving them in the streets or gutters. Loose leaves can become slippery, block storm drains, and harm local waterways by reducing oxygen levels as they decompose.

To help, the city’s Streets Department is offering curbside pickup of bagged leaves until the first snowfall. Residents can schedule a pickup by calling 801-298-6175 and leaving their name, address, and number of bags if calling after hours.

For those unable to bag leaves, the city encourages reporting the location so assistance can be arranged.

By taking part, residents help keep roads safe and the environment healthy this season.

Main Street Boutique in Bountiful Seeks New Owner

A well-established boutique business located on Bountiful's Main Street is in search of a new owner, according to an announcement from Mayor Kendalyn Harris. The opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong business mindset and the ability to invest both time and financial resources.

While the name of the boutique has not been publicly disclosed, it is currently operational and reportedly stable. The current owner is offering to provide training and support to ensure a smooth transition for the next proprietor. This could be an appealing opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to step into a ready-to-run local business.

Interested individuals are encouraged to reach out directly to Mayor Harris and then info will be passed on to the business owner for follow-up.

Lost Pet Scam Expands Beyond Utah: Suspect Linked to Cases in Other States

A scammer using the name "Michael Lane" is suspected of running a lost pet scam not only in Utah but also in other states like Kentucky. The con involves pressuring grieving pet owners into sending large payments shortly after claiming to have found their missing animal. Authorities are warning the public to be alert and avoid sending money without verification.

🏀 Farmington Phoenix Set Sights on Growth in 2025–26 Season

After a tough 6-17 record last year, the Farmington Phoenix boys basketball team enters the 2025–26 season focused on improvement and consistency. Now in his eighth year, head coach Kasey Walkenhurst returns three key starters—Malakai Tobler, Brycen Rudolph, and Chase Hamblin—to lead a roster that mixes experience with new talent.

Farmington finished fifth in Region 1 and ranked 17th in the 6A RPI, exiting the playoffs in the first round. The team struggled on both ends of the court, averaging just 54.2 points while allowing 62.4 per game.

This year, newcomers like Jack Layton, Luke Beattie, Isaac Anderson, and Sawyer Bingham aim to boost the lineup. With only two seniors, leadership and steady play will be crucial as the Phoenix look to climb the region standings and compete more effectively.

🧣 Community Cares: Sunday Soup & Blanket Drive Helping Those in Need

Local neighbors are stepping up in a big way through the Sunday Soup and Bountiful Blanket Drive, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake City. Organizer Fox Les is collecting donations of used blankets, coats, gloves, and beanies — with a convenient drop-off box located at Dick’s Market on Orchard Drive.

Food donations are also welcome, including canned goods, noodles, beans, and vegetables, which volunteers use to prepare hot soup handed out every Sunday morning.
Those interested in helping cook, donate, or assist with distribution can reach out to Les directly for details.

As temperatures drop, this grassroots effort is a powerful reminder of Bountiful’s caring spirit and the difference we can make together.
