Mother of Missing Teen Requests Security Footage From Homes Near Washington Park

As the search continues for missing West Bountiful teen Charlotte Sterling, her mother is now turning to the community for help in uncovering potential clues. Michelle Schweiss, Charlotte’s mother, has asked residents living near Washington Park to review any security footage they may have from the evening of April 3rd.

Specifically, she is seeking footage recorded between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m., the window during which Charlotte was last seen leaving home and reportedly heading toward the park. The request was shared on a local community Facebook group, where residents often exchange neighborhood updates and support.

The plea underscores the urgency and emotional toll of the ongoing search, as loved ones and law enforcement continue working to piece together the events surrounding Charlotte's disappearance. Any residents with relevant video recordings are encouraged to preserve the footage and contact authorities or the family directly.

Are You QuakeSmart? Virtual Challenge Preps Davis County for Earthquake Threat

With a 57% chance of a magnitude 6.0 or greater earthquake striking the Wasatch Front within the next 50 years, the Utah Geological Survey is urging residents to take preparedness seriously. The region, home to over 80% of Utah’s population, sits atop a seismically active fault system that has not experienced a major quake in centuries.

If a magnitude 7.0 earthquake were to occur, the consequences could be devastating. Projections estimate the destruction of nearly 89,000 homes, the loss of water service to approximately 480,000 residences, and power outages affecting another 444,000 households. The human toll would also be staggering, with around 3,000 lives lost and 8,000 individuals critically injured.

In an effort to encourage readiness, the Davis County Sheriff's Office is hosting the 2025 Great ShakeOut Challenge, a virtual event designed to boost earthquake awareness and promote practical safety measures. Participants can sign up for the online race to become “QuakeSmart” and test their personal preparedness.

This community-wide initiative not only aims to educate but also empower residents to take proactive steps now—before the ground begins to shake. Registration is open, and all Davis County residents are encouraged to join in the virtual preparedness race.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Bridger’s family is celebrating the incredible impact of the Northern Utah Autism Program (NUAP)—a nonprofit early intervention program that has helped their son thrive. NUAP serves local children ages 3–5 with autism and is funded entirely by parents and community support.

To give back, the family is hosting a Golf Tournament Fundraiser this fall at Ogden Golf & Country Club to benefit NUAP. They’re looking for sponsors, raffle donations, and helping hands.
