💬 COMMUNITY CHATTER
Sometimes the best stories aren't breaking news—they're the conversations happening between neighbors. Today we're sharing two local discussions that caught our attention, along with the results of our Daylight Saving Time poll. Have a thought to add? Just hit Reply to this email—I always love hearing from you! 💙

💬 The Mystery of Bountiful's Most Talked-About House
If you've driven past the old brick home near Viewmont High, you've probably wondered about it.
A recent discussion in a local Facebook group brought out dozens of stories, memories, and opinions about what's commonly known as the Anson Call House—one of Bountiful's oldest historic homes.
Some longtime residents shared memories of actually living there during the 1940s through the 1970s, saying many of the popular rumors simply aren't true. Several former residents said Ted Bundy never lived there, despite the rumor that continues to circulate.
Others remembered the home's two major fires, while many wished the historic property could someday be restored instead of continuing to sit vacant.
Of course... plenty of neighbors also chimed in with the stories they've heard over the years—from paranormal investigations and television appearances to tales of hidden tunnels and ghosts. Whether fact or folklore, there's no question this house has become one of Bountiful's biggest conversation pieces.
Now we're curious...
👉 What do you know about the Anson Call House? Have you ever been inside, or do you remember it from years ago? Reply and tell us your story!
💬 Anyone Else Hear About the Vehicle Vandalism
in Woods Cross? 🚔
A Woods Cross resident shared that the windows on a vehicle were broken overnight a few nights ago near 1100 West and 1750 South. Thankfully, they said nothing appeared to be stolen.
In the comments, another neighbor mentioned their doorbell camera captured a group of teens walking through a nearby neighborhood around 3:30 a.m. near 2100 South and 925 West. At this point, there's no confirmed connection between the two incidents.
If you live in the area, it might be a good time to check your security cameras and make sure your vehicles are locked.
Did anyone else notice suspicious activity overnight or hear of any similar incidents?
⏰ The Results Are In... and Neighbors Are Ready
to Stop Changing the Clocks!
We asked Bountiful Buzz readers one simple question:
If Utah could choose just one option, what should we do with Daylight Saving Time?
Here's how our community voted:
❤️ 56% — Keep Standard Time year-round
👍 30% — Keep Daylight Saving Time year-round
🕒 14% — Leave things exactly as they are
The biggest surprise? While many people assumed permanent Daylight Saving Time would be the clear favorite, Standard Time came out on top by a comfortable margin.
Many readers said they prefer:
🌅 Brighter mornings, especially for kids heading to school.
😴 Better sleep and a more natural body clock.
🚫 And most of all... they just want to stop changing the clocks twice a year!
Of course, not everyone agreed.
Supporters of permanent Daylight Saving Time loved the idea of having more daylight after work, making winter evenings feel a little less gloomy and giving families more time outside.
One thing almost everyone seemed to agree on? Twice-a-year clock changes have worn out their welcome.
Whether you're Team Morning Sunshine ☀️ or Team Evening Daylight 🌇, it was fun seeing so many neighbors weigh in. Thanks to everyone who voted! 👇
