Preserving the Stories That Matter Most

If your closets, basements, or devices are overflowing with photos, videos, and keepsakes you swear you’ll organize someday, Skye Cranor at Forever Memory Solutions is here to make “someday” today.

For over 24 years, Skye has been helping families turn their boxes, bins, and digital files into beautifully preserved memories that are safe, organized, and ready to share. What started in her teens as a love for scrapbooking and genealogy—fueled by time spent serving in the Family History Library during her mission—has grown into a full-fledged passion and career.

At Forever Memory Solutions, it’s not just about storage—it’s about safe, permanent storage. Using the unique FOREVER® platform, Skye ensures your family’s photos, videos, and documents are protected for your lifetime plus 100 years, without subscriptions, ads, or data mining. She guides each client step-by-step through digitizing old media, organizing digital chaos, and creating meaningful photo projects—making the process easy, personal, and stress-free.

Skye is also deeply involved in the community, teaching photo organization and memory-keeping classes through local community education programs, supporting local fundraisers, and serving as First Vice President of the Utah Genealogical Association. Her heart for preserving stories goes far beyond business—it’s about helping people protect the moments that matter most.

Bountiful Food Pantry Hosts “Get Healthy” Event for Back-to-School Boost

As the back-to-school season approaches, the Bountiful Food Pantry is inviting local families to a special “Get Healthy” event TODAY, August 15th. The event aims to support families by offering a variety of health-related services, including immunizations, WIC resources, and access to valuable community health programs.

Open to all families and individuals seeking assistance, the event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing a convenient window to get a head start on health needs before the school year begins. Organizers hope this initiative will help children and parents alike start the year with confidence, health, and support.

🐕 Woods Cross and North Salt Lake Join Forces for New Joint Dog Park

Woods Cross and North Salt Lake are teaming up to build a new dog park on the border of their cities at 2180 W. 2425 South. The park, an expansion of the existing Legacy Dog Park, will be named Flash Cairo in honor of two former police dogs from each city.

The park sits on unused UDOT land and will maintain its function as a stormwater retention basin while serving as an off-leash area for dogs. It will include separate spaces for small and large dogs, shade structures, benches, ADA ramps, drinking fountains, and pet waste stations. Access to nearby trails will also be available.

Though not yet complete, the project is moving forward in phases, with future additions planned, such as agility features and landscaping. By handling much of the work in-house, both cities have kept costs down while creating a valuable shared space for local pet owners.

Drought Forces Closure of Wahweap Launch Ramp at Lake Powell

Low water levels caused by ongoing drought have forced the closure of the Wahweap Main Launch Ramp at Lake Powell starting August 18. The National Park Service is also relocating the Rainbow Bridge dock to deeper water, affecting visitor access. Other amenities remain open as severe drought persists in the region.
