Body Found in Jordan River Prompts South Salt Lake Police Investigation

Authorities have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in the Jordan River on Saturday afternoon in South Salt Lake. The discovery was made around 3:45 p.m. near 3200 South on the river’s east bank.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following the report, and a section of the area was briefly closed off as police conducted a preliminary search and secured the site. The identity of the individual and the circumstances surrounding the death remain unknown at this time. Investigators have not released further information, and the case remains under active investigation.

No child should go hungry during the summer! From June 2 to July 23, the Davis School District is offering free weekday lunches (Monday–Thursday) for all children ages 1–18 at 15 locations through the Seamless Summer Lunch Program.
